OREGON Picnic Is Feature Of Family Reunion The Hvne-BuMy reunion at Moor park ih an event of 8unday afternoon when all Jive of the living children of the late Henry O. and Dayton Huyne Bussey were present. Many of their children and grandchildren also attended and with their families, made a party of 54 people. Thli waa the first reunion of the families since the war In which eight of the Bussey children and grandchildren served. Tho affnlr was part of the pioneer picnic sponsored by the Klamath Historical society. The mynes-'T- Bussry picnic honored the families of the lnte Henry O. and Dayton llaynes Buney, who settled In Lo- rella in 1885. Margaret, Ben and Bob Murphy, of Henley and her uncle, Dan Murphy of Klamath Falls. Brigid heft Cove, Ireland, on the troop ship, -Ernie Pyle." making the trip to New York tn eight days, arriving July 20. She spent a week In New York City seeing the sights that every visitor should see and continued on to Klamath Falls by train, stopping en route at Denver for a few days. Asked how she liked the country, she replied. " Tis a grand country," but feels that people hurry about a little too fast here, as Ireland Is a very leisurely country. She pre fers the mountains of the Pacific Coast to the plains of the Middle West. Miss Murphy's stay here is a re turn visit to the one which Mar garet and her father, Dan Murphy, made to Ireland last July. She Is staying at the TVinema hoteL . Juveniles of Neighbors of Wood craft held a picnic in Moore park on Thursday, August t, and 10 members attended. The picnic was In the form of a sack lunch, fol lowed by several games. Alta Clark, senior guardian, and Ruth Hull were in charge, i Club Picnic One of the most successful club picnics was held Sunday. August 10. at Moore park, when 75 guests and members of the local Townsend club gathered In mid-morning for a day of recreation. Coffee, ice cream and cold drinks were furnished by the club. Luncheon was at 1 o'clock with games and races highlighting the afternoon. Beverly LaFever of Spokane won the' ladles race with Peggy Roberts, second. Maynard Smith and Fred LaFever were win ners In the men's races. Other winners were Don Strand, Norma Douglas, Maynard Smith Jr.. Johnny Thompson, Norman and Hazel Douglas. Jackie Smith.
