Scene of the aflnir was the annex of the Presbyterian church In Tulelnke. The parly motif was based on wishes of the group for Miss Kandra and her fiance. Dr. Charles Wilson, for a golden wedding an niversary celebration. Bouquets of golden-hued flowers were attractively arranged about the rooms. Lombard of Klamath Falls this week announced the betrothal and forthcoming mar riage of their daughter. Betty, who will become the bride of James A. Copeland on August 31. Sacred Heart Catholic church in this city will be "the scene of the rites. Miss Lombard, member of a promi nent Klamath Falls family, was graduated this spring from the Uni versity of Oregon where sh studied psychology. The couple met at the university where Mr. Copeland also studies. He Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Copeland of Portland. Mr. Copeland Is majoring in law ot the university. Mr. Kantz. archi tect, has been studying city-planning in California and will join Mrs. Kantz here soon and they will leave for Santa Barbara, California, where they will make their home. They left early Friday morning and plan to return Friday ot next waek. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gordon returned from a wonderful vacation trip this past week. Their motor trip took them through the vacation land of Southern Canada, down the Atlantic coast, stopping In New York City, Washington, D. C, and other points of Interest along the way. After a stay in Florida, they returned to the West by way of New Orleans and the South. They visited In California before continuing home. They were gone two months. A group of Klamatn resident spent day at Paulina lake recently with Mrs. Ray Reed. Those making the trip were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reed. It all started when Elmer Batstger brought In a basket of huge, lovely berries, grown In his own garden. Noting the longing looks, ho left the basket on the newsroom desk. Since then, so many of tho luscious red berries have been brought In by their Justly proud owner that the staff regrets having nibbled them as they earns , . . what a lovely shortcake they'd have made! Mrs. James Fullerton flew up from her home in Hollywood Tues day, July 29, to visit her sister. Mrs. James F. Clark, of 1420 Lookout. 8he and Mrs. Clark traveled to Crater lake Thursday to visit their mother, Mrs. Ann Hensley, and brother, Harvey Cllft. Mrs. Fullerton will remain until Sunday at Crater lake before returning to Klamath Falls. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Atwater and son. Barron, of Stockton, California have been visiting Mrs. Atwater's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Randall of 310 High. The Atwaters have gone to Rogue river for a week and will return to Klamath Falls for a few days before leaving for their home. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Prouty and daughter, Beverly Jean, of Lake shore drive are vacationing in Canada. They are visiting Mrs. Prouty'i sister and brother and plan to spend several days at Lake Louise, Banff and Waterton lake. On their way home they will stop at Redmond to visit relatives. Edna Brown and Barbara King were feted by the employes of Miller's store at a staple shower held early Wednesday morning at tho store. Refreshments were served to those present. Janet's parents, with son, Jimmy, will Join the Stewarts at their cabin at Lake o' the Woods this week-end. On Wednesday, Ruth Roenlcke honored Janet with a theatre party followed by a treat. Guests includ ed Janet, Virginia Roenlcke, Fred erick Roenlcke, Nancy Warren and Sara. Janet was honored again on Thursday when 8ara entertained at luncheon for her and also for Ruth and Virginia, who left with brother Frederick and their par ents. Dr. and Mrs. Albert O. Roenlcke, early Friday morning to spend a month at their place at Long Beach, Wash, Other guests Included Nancy Warren and Carol Jean Elliott.
