FRIDAY, JULY 23, 1947 PACE SIX HERALD AND NEWS, KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON Fairgrounds Meet Series Scheduled Combining religion and Inter national topics, Dr. Dan Ollbert of Washington, D. C.,' will speak at the Klamath fairgrounds July 29 through August 1. Starting Tues day evening, and continuing each afternoon at 2:30 p. m. and each evening at 7:45 p. m.. Dr. Ollbert will speak on the following sub jects: Tuesday, 7:4S p. m. "Inside Washington, D. C the adventures of a Christian newspaper man In side the nation's capltol." Wednesday, 2:30 p. m. "Is Rus sia getting ready to invade Pales tine?" 7:45 p. m. "How Bible prophecy sets the date for the outbreak of World War III. Thursday, 2:80 p. m. "The ori gin, career and destiny of the United Nations organization as described In Bible prophecy." 7:45 p. m. "From Atheism to Christ or how I became a Christian." Friday, 1:30 p. m. "Commu nism's secret play to destroy Amer ica." 7:45 p. m. "Hell over Holly wood the truth about the movies." These services are under the aus pices of the Klamath county Youth for Christ organization and are sponsored with the cooperation of the following churches: Assembly of God. Bible Baptist, Calvary Bap tist, Christian church, Immanuel Baptist, First Covenant church. Church of Ood, Klamath Temple. Free Methodist church. Nazarene church and the Pilgrim Holiness church. CHURCH OF CHRIST Regular services will be held at the Church of Christ, 2205 Want land, Sunday, July 27. The morning service Is at 11 a. m. and the evening worship at 8 p. m. Victor A. Scholte. Present at the service were, left to right, the Rev. Schulie. E. J. Blind. H. A. Burkhard. Sir. M. M. Ward. Gottfried Nrubert, A. Ronleld and H. W. UeUke. The corner stone was presented to the congregation by Mrs. IVsrd and laid by Joe RobustellL The new structure is being built at 11th and High streets. The Shutter Shop Lutherans Plan Picnic The annual Sunday school and congregational picnic of the Klam ath Lutheran church Is slated for Sunday, July 27, at Moore park. There will not be Sunday school or worship at the church but open air services will be conducted by the Rev. s. M. Topness at the park at 11 ajn. Those desiring transportation or having extra room in their cars are asked to meet at the church at 10:30 a-m. Each family should bring table service and sandwiches, and a dish to pass- Coffee and cream will be furnished by the brotherhood, which la in charge of arrangements. There will be treats for the children and games and races In the afternoon. Members and friends of the church are Invited. Crlstensen of North western, Nazarene college at Nam pa, Ida., will be the guest apeukor for the local Church of the Naza rene Sunday. Miss Crtateuscn comes to Kla math Falls as youth worker con ducting a vacation Bible school at the local Nazarene church which will continue through Friday, August 1. Miss Crlstensen Is professor (it voice at the Northwest Nnsarcne college. Before coming to the Northwest site taught In a number of colleges In the United States and Canada, as well as specializing In youth work during vacation per iods. The public is given a curdlal invitation to hear Mlu Crlstensen at the Nazarene church, Mnrtlu and Qarden. Convent Bible School To Open The closing exercises of the Dally Vacation Bible school will be held at the First Covenant church. 8.'3 Walnut, Sunday evening. July 27. at 7:45 p. m. The teachers of the various age groups will lead their ; children in exercises which will give to parents and friends who attend an Idea of what has been done during these ten days of school.
