meet Friday at Toppeniah to con
sider similar action by the Yaklmaa.
The Nez Perce allege McNary dam
construction at Umatilla, Ore., vio
lates an 18&& treaty entered into by
themselves and the Yaklmaa with
the federal government.
Simmons said congressional au
thorization does not provide for
condemnation or compensation for
Indian property affected by the
dam. The construction also "Jeop
ardizes" Nez Per&e fishing rights
which deportment of Interior esti
mates have valued at between $15,
000.000 and 120.000.000, he said. .

fice is set up on one of the trucks
for the convenience of men wishing
information on the naval 'reserve
