Mr. and Mrs, Archie Held took a golden honeymoon trip, covering -over 5000 miles by rail. The honeymooners went to 'Chi cago from here, then to Niagara . Falls, traditional honeymoon spot, to New York and to St. Johns City, New Brunswick. . Leaving New Brunswick they went te Montreal, Canada, and took the Canadian Pacific to Lake Louise, Banff, through the Canadian Rockies to Vancouver and down the west coast to home. Before making their trip the Reids sold their business, the Palace of Sweets on E. Main, and their home there. They are now residing at the I Victory apartments until their new home Is built, near the Crystal steam baths on E. Main, of which Reid is a partner. They returned from their trip Monday. ; ' Social Group I The Carnation club, social or-1 ganization of the Degree of Honor, j met lor reorganization Wednesday, i July 16, with 19 members and two ! guests attending. Estelle Smith was elected president, Ruth Matthews, vice president and Dorothy Derreh, secretary. The minutes since the j club was organized in 1927 were read and provided much amuse-1 ment -It was decided -to meet on1 the third Wednesday of each month j in the future. Mid-Week SOCIETY Year's Plans LANGELL VALLEY The Home Economics club of the Langell Val ley grange met at the home of Bca DeVaul on Tuesday. Plans were formed for the year's activities, and attractive year books were made. At the close of the afternoon re freshments were served to Kay House, Bonnie Fernlund, Christine Brown, Phyllis Rupert. Janet Fern lund. Joan Marchant. Miriam Potu cek. and Bea DeVaul. Gifts from the members were presented to Bea DeVaul and Chris tine Brown.
