Vacation Bible Classes Start Daily Vacation Bible school will open at the First Covenant church, 823 Walnut, Monday, July 14. Spe cially planned courses of study will be presented for the various age groups with activities including singing, story telling, object lessons and scripture memorisation. The dally sessions will be held for two weeks, Monday through Fri day, from 9 to 11:30 a. m. Classes will be divided according to age. The sun day school and Bible class meet at s:a a. m. Lutheran President 'Leaving God Out' Sermon Subject The Rev. Victor Phillips, minister of the First Methodist church, 10th and High, will speak on "Leaving Ood Out. ' at tne Sunday morning sen-ice, 11 a. m. Dean Stephens will be the soloist and Mrs. John A. O'Connor will be at the organ. The service will be broadcast over radio station KFLW. The church Sunday school meets at 8:45 a. m., with James N. Crnne as superintendent. The Methodist youth fellowship meets at 6:30 p. m., with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson as adult counselors. Lutheran Slates Sunday School "Two Eyes Are Watching Over You," ip. the sermon theme for the Sunday morning worship at the Klamath Lutheran church. The Rev. S. M. Topness will be in the pulpit at the 11 a. m. service. Sunday school meets at 9:45 a. m with classes for all ages. Sunday school teachers will meet at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. S. M. Local Woman Church Head President of the Oregon circuit of the Lutheran Women's Missionary federation is Mrs. Laurence K. Ell son, 1745 Crescent. Mrs. Ellson was elected at a recent meeting of the federation held at Brush Prairie, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Ellson are members of the Klamath Falls Lu theran church and moved to this city about two years ago. The Oregon circuit includes Ore gon and Southern Washington. Matthews To Speak At Congregational Continuing the sermon series on "The Beginning of Our Religion." the Rev. Godfrey Matthews, minis ter of the Community Congrega tional church, will speak on "The Best Is Yet To Be." The sermon will be presented at the Sunday morning service at 11 a. m. An Invitation is extended to visitors to attend. The church is situated on Garden near Martin. Christian Church Slates Activities The Christian church, Ninth and Pine, is carrying on a full program of activities throughout the sum mer months. Bible school convenes at 9:45 a. m. each Sunday with classes for all ages. The film, "The Races of Man kind" will be shown Sunday evening with communion services at both morning and evening sessions. Medford Man To Take Food Post SALEM. July 11 VP) Joseph F. Nesbltt, Medford, was appointed to day to represent the state division of foods and dairies at Springfield, his territory including Lane, Doug las. Benton, Linn and Lincoln coun ties. He succeeds L. S. Leach, Corvallls, who retired. O. K. Beals, chief of the division, said he hopes eventually to split the district, placing another field man in the Linn-Benton-Lincoln area. Youth Workers To Visit Union Gosoel A group of young Christian work ers from Los Angeles will be at the Union Oospel mission. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The group is returning from the East where they attended a youth conference of the United Holy church of America. Services will be held Sunday at 3 p. m. and 7 :30 p. m. Sunday school is held at the usual time. Chalk Drawings Illustrate Talk The Rev. and Mrs. Edgar A. Poe of Indiana are conducting evange listic services at the Pilgrim Holi ness church. 2301 Wantland. The Rev. Poe. a chalk artist, draws pic tures at each service to illustrate the sermon. These services will continue through July 13 and the public is Invited to attend.
