The group enjoyed a few days' stay here before going back home. Merrill. Wis., is the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Roeder before they came to Fort Kiamiun to reside, mgci is employed in Merrill by Herbert Hins, brother-in-law of the Roed ers, who is in business there. W. A. Donnelly, accompanied by a friend, called on old friends here last week while on a fishing trip to Diamond lake. Mr. and Mrs. Don nelly and daughter. Gwendolyn Jane, now make their home at Mill brae, Calif., where they operate a service station. Donnelly was for several years employed here as lo cal foreman for the state highway patrol. Mr. and Mrs. Alvln Hessclgrave and sou, accompanied by Gene Hes selgrave and son, Wayne, left Sun day for their home in Macintosh, S. D., after spending some time visiting here at the home of the Hesselgraves' mother, Mrs. Prank Edwards. Harold Wlmer returned Friday afternoon from a week's trip to Russelville, Ark., where he went by plane from Klamath Falls the pre ceding Thursday night to recover the Wlmer Pontine sedan stolen April 1 by Alfred Paine, escaped San Quentin convict, who is now back In Sap Quentin following his capture by officers at Russelville, where he was caught burglarising a store, and shot In Uie leg by offi cers. The car was recovered In fair condition and driven back here by Wimer at his o. n expense. Mrs. Nora Souther and son, Rich ard, have arrived here to make their home. Mrs. Souther, the for mer Nora Copeland. will be em ployed in the local telephone office. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leavengood and Mrs. Joanna Taylor made a trip over the week-end to Sveet Home, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Vlgue and brought back Mrs. Leavengood's daughter for a week's visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Vigue are Phyllis' grandpar ents and former residents of Fort Klamath, and now operate a res taurant at Sweet Home, where they recently moved from Everett. Wash. Week-end houseguests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred B. Castel were Mr. and Mrs. Al Lewis of Portland. Mrs. William C. Strahan and In- i fant daughter came home Wednes-1 day from the Klamath Valley hos- Ditai in Kiamatn Falls, where the ! baby was born June 20. The party called on friends and relatives at different valley points. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Strahan have sold their local property to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Rightmeir and are this week moving to the state fish hatch ery at Crooked creek, where Strahan is employed.
