"We are back where we started from In this commission," the Aus tralian said. "It is a surprising but a true thing that you have a great power submitting a proposal and another major power submit ting a counter plan. You have had a power submitting a name for gov ernor tof Trlestei and Immediately you have another power submitting a counter name." Expressing Australia's' support of the U. S. plan for the regulation and reduction of armaments and armed forces, he urged the com mission to get on with the lob which the major powers had failed to accomplish. Xn a 30-minute speech, Andrei A. Oromvko, Soviet delegate, upheld his plan for the commission's work as a simple and direct one and at tacked the United States proposal as being of no value. He also told the commission that It must recognise a link between prohibition of atomic weapons and general reduction of armaments. The United States plan, favored by the majority of the commission, does not recognise that link, the United States contending that this commission should not be con cerned with atomic energy. The commission adjourned until June 18 without acting on either plan. 1 Farmer Starts Jail Term Today . SEATTLE.
