Removal Of USBR Office Nears End Pinal removal of reclamation bureau offices from the federal building; to the airport will be com pleted thl week, according to Ray Bent, district manager of the service. While most of the bureau offices have been operating at the airport for some time, Best has maintained his office in the federal building. One reason for delay in moving was that teletypes were Installed In the federal building, and could not be moved because of the telephone strike. The reclamation bureau has occu pied the link trainer building at the airport for office purposes, and has an expanded set-up there with many facilities not possible In the third floor of the federal building where It was located for many years. Recently three telephone trunk lines were Installed Into the bureau headquarters at the field, with a switchboard, greatly facilitating telephone service. The government reserved a part ' of the structures and land at the airport for reclamation bureau use, and the remainder was turned over to the city. Best, E. L. Stephens and Charles Wamstad of the reclamation staff planned to go to Sacramento this week for a conference on personnel matters. Best said he expects to have his office moved to the airport when he gets back. The reclamation bureau moved into the federal building a dozen or so years ago from the old reclama tion bureau building at 11th and High streets. That building has since been torn down.
