Fort Klamath Mrs. Henry Orth has started a new business enterprise in Fort Klamath with the orx-nlna last week-end of her store, lo cated in the Duildlng formerly used as a barber shop here. Mrs. Orth carries in stock selec tion of late magazines, news papers, candy, cigarettes and soda pop, and plans later to add a soda fountain. The building housing the new business ven ture had been thoroughly reno vated and redecorated prior to tho opening. Wishing Mrs. Orth success, friends presented hor with several gift of cut flowers and potted plants on the opening of her business. Mr. and Mrs. James Orth and family arrived Easter Sunday to spend a few days visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Orth, from their home la Sacramento, Calif. Easter Sunday gucirts at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Noah were their son-in-law, daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Benedict and chil dren, of Klamath Falls, and also their son Marvin of Fort Kla math, and Harold Moon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wimer were called to Grants Pass last Sat urday by news of the critical illness of Mr. Wlmcr's mother, Mrs. Amanda Agce. who passed away before her daughter could arrive. Funeral services for Mr. Agee were held In Grants Pass on Tuesday afternoon, when the following relatives from Fort Klamath made the trip to attend the final rites, in addition to Mr. and Mra. Roy Wimer, who had gone to Grants Pas pre viously on receipt of the news of her mother' illness; two grand son and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Ival Knox and infant son, Mr. and Mrs. Dclmar Knox, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Zumbrun. tho latter a grand-daughter of the late Mrs. Agee. One hun dred and eighty tickets were sold to a crowd that over-packed the seating capacity of the Grange hall and many had to stand up to see the diminutive couple, Goldie Gooch and Rich ard Cooper, become bride and groom, to the officiating words of Minister Duke Brown, after all the guests had been duly ushered In and sealed and all ceremonial procedure had taken place. Barbara Usher was maid ot honor; Philip Gooch, best man, and the bridesmaids were Janice Hammcrslcy, Maudie Jean Bat man and Sharen Dungan. The bride's mother was Anne Ham- mersley and father, Billie Milsap. The flower girls were Audrey Milsap, Joyce Robnett, Loretta Cook, Margaret Robnett and Rosetta Ross. The official ushers were Ed ward Richardson and Neil Perry. The rest of the Juveniles who comprised the designated guests were as follows: Beverly Vin cent, Bobby Vincent, Betty Can non, Johnny Cannon, Ruth Ros encrans, Eugene Lawson, Rich ard Lawson, Joe Smith, Earl Porter, Robert Faria. Mrs. Florence Dunlap played a violin accompaniment for the reel, which concluded the program Over 200 plate lunches were served following the program and dancing continued until about 2 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. O. K. Johnston and daughter Dorothy left last Saturday morning for Greenville to attend the wedding of Evan geline Edwards which was an Easter Sunday church wedding. Dorothy was maid of honor. A reception and a wedding dinner followed the wedding. Mrs. Johnston and daughter returned on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Horr visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gran Riggs and family last week-end. The Horrst who live at Canby, have just re turned from a 6000-mile trip, visiting relatives, Mrs. A. M. Horr, in Ventura, Calif., traver sing 10 states in a three months' vacation tour. April 12 The Amer ican Legion auxiliary unit No. 84 met on Monday, April 7, in the Mulin church, with Martha Brothanek, president, In the chair. Mrs. W. O. Bunge was initiated and welcomed, The unit, having over 90 mem bers, will send three delegates to the state convention this year. Martha gave an interesting talk regarding the rehabilitation work being done for the hospital work through the auxiliary. Martha, along with seven ol the mem bers, attended the conference held Jointly with Klamath Legion and auxiliary, with Mrs. C. Gunn making a report regarding the help to be given by all Legion and auxiliary members. As April is child welfare month for the auxiliary, a box is being placed in Emma's shoppe where anyone having new or used clothing may put same. All donations will be greatly appre ciated. The Americanism essays will be ready for Judging by April 30, the deadline date. The unit voted to give 110 towards purchasing flags for the intermediate uiri scouts, wnicn Malin is sponsoring. After a very interesting meet ing, Leah Street entertained by having guessing games, at which Mary victorm and Agnes Schrei ner won.
