Senator Vandenberg (R-Mich.)

Far from "by-passing" the

the foreign relations chairman
replied to the Soviet representa

Police Spend
Busy Day
Four teen-age boys driving a
gray Ford registered to Glenn
Kerr of Ashland were reported
to police last night as they
changed cars at N. 2nd and Jef
ferson, leaving in the other car,
then drove back after a short
while and hurriedly tossed a pair
of fender skirts into the Ford,
which sped away followed by
the second car. The officers are
puzzled by the actions, but be
lieve the incident may be a clue
to the numerous car prowlings
ir Klamath Falls lately.
State Police Officer Bill Col
bert also reported to the city
police that he stopped two men
in a car on E .Main who were
driving along slowly looking
over all the buildings along the
street. In the car he found a
five-gallon can and section of
hose which the men finally ad
mitted was for procuring gaso
line. No action was taken
against them, but officers are
keeping their eyes open.
W. C. Myers, 2026 Applegate,
reported that the hub caps were
taken from - his car last night.
R. F. Elledge. 630 Pine, reported
two plastic side walls stolen from
his car.
An officer from: the Lane
cotinty sheriffs office was in
town Monday, to take custody
of Jim R. Roos on a charge of
larceny by bailee in Eugene.
Roos was arrested here recently
with another man for selling al
legedly stolen property.
Six drunks found .a place to
sleep at the city lock-up during
the night.
Lanqell Valley
The Murrays, who ran the
Lorella store in Langell valley
for 10 years and are well known
in Klamath county, are quite
successful with the fishing boat
he bought at Eastside in Coos
county where they now reside.
They sold their Langell valley
property in December, 1946, to
Cecil Forcier.
A picture of the Murrays with
one of the biggest catches of
striped bass for the year was pub
lished recently in the Coos Bay
Times, and copies of the picture
were sent to friends here.
