LYMAN GIBBS Mrs. Gibbs' Death Told Word of the deuth of Mrs. Ly man George (Mabel) Gibbs. for mer Klumath Kails matron, in Modesto, Calif., on March 24, wus learned here Monday with the return of her son, Cecil E. Wilbur. 2110 Orchard, from Mo desto where finul rites were held last Thursday, Mrs. Gibbs came hero in llltlO. She wus Mrs. Clarence O. Wilbur at that time. Mr. Wilbur passing in 1021. He was engi neer for the old Savage mill, the Johnson Lumber company, Moore brothers, and wna chief engineer for severnl yenrs at Pelican Buy Lumber company. The family lived at the old Lakeside Inn for a time and Inter ut Shippington. In uddition to her husband, Mrs. Gibbs ia survived by her children, Cecil E. Wilbur of this city. Edwin H. and Clarice B. Delegates from Eugene, Rose- burg, North Bend, Bend, and I Redmond, us well as Klamath Fulls were present. Governor of the Pacific northwest district, I Don Kngdiihl of Spokane, was . an official visitor, A business meeting was held in the afternoon dealing with activities of the various cluba. The wives of the local Kiwanis club entertained for visiting wo men at tea in the Elks party room. Climaxing the dnv was a din ner dance ut the Wlllurd hotel Inat night. In the morning the visitors were taken on an air plane tour of Crater Lake Na tional park. Chairman of the committee arranging the duy-long activities waa Glenn Inman, usawtcd by Ted Reeves, Spec Murray and Rusa Murahull. Mrs. Inman was chairman of the tea committee, and working with her were Mrs. Joe Hicka, Mrs. Churles Mack, Mrs. Phil Hitchcock.
