I Thursday Meeting Features Reviews The G. A. B. Birthday club met at the home of Mrs. Dixie Bebbcr, 3540 South Sixth street, Thursday, March 27, at 7:30 p. m. There being no birthday for March, the only gifts ex changed were St. Patrick's Day remembrances and cards. An enjoyable evening was spent in book reviews, story telling and sewing. Refreshments were served to Ora Gienger. Marie Metier, Gladys Metier, Mildred Mid-Week SOCIETY Potluck Dinner The Royal Neighbors of Amer ica served a potluck dinner to about 45 members and guests Friday in honor of members whose birthdays were in Janu ary, February and March. Anna Shafer received the birthday gift. Lola Myers and Connie Camp bell were in charge of the ar rangement and serving of the dinner. Following dinner the lodge held its regular meeting. Visit ing members were introduced and honored. Two of the guests were from Billings, MoYit., and are now making their home here ! and plan to transfer to the local lodge. Three candidates were obli - gated. Further plans for the district convention which will be held June 13, were made. Dur- ing the meeting songs for the convention were practiced. Plana for an Easter egg hunt ; Sunday, April 6, were made, to be held at Moore park at 1 o'clock. All Royal Neighbor juveniles are cordially invited to attend. Persons wishing trans- portation may phone 7613 or,Roy'wimer Mfs De. 6805. Several sick Neighbors were remembered and cards and flow ers were sent to them. Inez Mc Coy received the special award for the evening. The fancy drill team and officers practiced after lodge. Visitors POE VALLEY Visitors of the J. L. Benedicts have been Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Blakely, their cousins, from Wisconsin. They arrived on March 28 and are enjoying a lengthy trip through out the country. They left Mon day to return east by the north ern route. The Benedicts entertained for their guests at dinner Sunday. Others present were Bonnie Han kins, Gene Chandler, Mr. and Mrs. Oren Lewis, Don Lewis, Lyle Smith, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Moore, Mrs. L. I. Moore, Al Car penter, Wally Fleet and Helen Benedict. Former Residents Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pearson, recently of Klamath Falls, have returned to their former home in Med ford where they will re side. They entertained friends and relatives at their home for , Sunday dinner last week in cele bration of Mr. Pearson's birth- , day anniversary. Later in the : day they motored to Grants Pass to visit relatives. April 2 Colleen Metz. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Metz and a junior in high school has been selected by the faculty to attend girls' state to be held in Sacramento in June. She will be sponsored by the auxiliary of Tulelake post, Amer ican Legion. The award is based on scholarship, character, citizen ship and interest in government. Alternates are Patsy Terry and Shirley Heck. - Six candidates were qualified for the honor, it was announced this week from Norman Esser, high school principal.
