Girl Scout News The week of March 9 to 15, will be a big event in the lives of Klamath Falls Girl Scouts, who will join with more than a million members of their or ganization throughout the na tion, to celebrate the 35th birth day of Girl ScoXiting. "Better Citizens Build a Bet ter World," is the slogan of the Girl Scouts and will provide a theme for many special events, both national and local, that will be held in honor of the Girl Scout birthday. The Girl Scouts of Klamath Falls will observe the annivers ary by attending their own church in uniform and by pre senting a birthday program in the Fremont school auditorium, Tuesday, March 11, at 7:30 p. m. On Saturday, March 13, there will be a skating party from 3 until 3 p. m. in the afternoon, at Skateland roller rink. This party is for all Intermediate Girl Scouts. . The following Saturday, March 22, there will be another skating party, from 3 until 5 p. m. for all Brownie Scouts. It is the hope of the organiza tion that the anniversary cele bration, will attract the attention of many more adults and bring them to a greater realization of what youth service through Girl Scouting is all about Even though the Girl Scout movement is a success story, at the end of 33 years, we cannot feel that we can rest on our laurels while there are still so many girls asking to Join but who are left on waiting lists because there aren't enough vol unteer leaders to go around. We are hoping that anyone who is able, will enroll in Girl Scouting as a birthday present to the or ganization. Our goal, in the an niversary year is, "enough lead ers and troops to take in all the girls who want to join." Classified Ads Bring Results. HARTFORD Aecidatl ladaalBily Caaapaay INSURANCE T.B.
