Others 8.95 to 22.95 Klamath High In Art Contest Klamath Falls grade school children rated the highest per centage In the state of Oregon outside of Portland In the recent art exhibit held in Portland, ac cording to Robert Banister, di rector of art education in the city schools. One eighth grader, Robert Bosworth, rated the Cold Key award for his entry, which Is being sent to the finals of all grade school children in the United States at Pittsburg, Pa. Five others will bo selected for entry on the basis of Gold Key certificates and three Klamath Union high school students were also chosen, Banister said. Three seventh graders from Mills met requirements and they, are JJoris BaKcr, Nolon Day ana Thomas Nelson. One Pelican en try was selected, the work of Alan Davie, and one from Sacred Heart academy, the entry made by Kenneth McAndrews. KUHS students, Anita Kenncbeck, Mark Simons and Pat Lloyd Baker, will also go in for final judging. City school officials here con sider the selection of the many Klamath youngsters as a tribute to the art program now in pro gress in the local schools.
