League Of Women Voters Suggests BUI Amendments Klamath Leaguo of Women Voters has suggested some amendments to a legislative bill In 9tntiliah a stall, bovs' CBlllP. The league favors the bill, 111) 349, but would like to neo changes to provide tor case worker services nd standards set for tho camp personnel so that some positive features of treatment other than "work" may be accomplished. The league is opposed to an other boys' camp bill,, SB 110, which would authorize cities and counties. Jointly or other wise, to operate such cumps. Here Is the league stana on other social welfare measures before the legislature: HB 294, to authorize park and recreation districts to issue nego tiable bonds: Leaeue in favor, feeling bill would be especially advantageous to rural districts. HB 191. to Drovide for school Junch program supervision and acceptance ot leuerm avuuwi lunch funds: League favors. HB 201, to transfer all judi cial authority of county judges to circuit judge, in all districts: League favors. This measure al ready in effect in Klamath county, HB 47, to reduce compulsory school age: League realizes that it is difficult to handle problem of compulsory attendance to age of 18, but feels the proposed bill is too drastic and is opposed to HB 47. SB 45, regulating employment of child labor: Approved. SB 98, to provide for per manent exclusion from school of children mentally unable to benefit from further instruction: Approved. SB 101, to give school board authority to excuse 16 to 18 year old children from school when employed: Approved. Gladys Broadluirsl, accused of master-minding tho deuth of her husband, wealthy W. D. Broadhurst, S3, last Octo ber. Asslstunt Prosecutor Blaine Hallock plunged into a story of how she acquired hus bands No. 6 and 7. Broadhurst was No, 6, but within four months of their mar riage the woman went to Reno with Alvin Lee Williams, 23, her chauffeur, and he became No. 7, Hallock said. There, Hallock declared and the woman flushed she told Williams that since they already had broken one commandment "thou shalt not commit adul tery" another one would not matter murder. Williams, charged with doing the actual shooting, is scheduled for trial later this month on a first-degree murder charge. Hal lock said he has confessed.
