In the fish and wildlife service at Chicago, Clarence Cottam, acting director, told him the Denver office could spare some help and perhaps a squirt or two of gas. Ho suggested a few: Chloropicrin, some cyanides, and a handy gas cartridge manufac tured by the service at Pocatello, Idaho. . Then the clincher came from Justice C. Ward, in charge of the service's office in Denver. He said his people are work ing with the army's chemical warfare service on some "im proved gases suitable for rodent control. He assured Jackley he could spare a man or two for some work in South Dakota this spring and next fall. Wheat Bill Passes House SALEM, Feb. 14 VP) The Eastern Oregon Wheat league's bill to establish a five-man com mission to conduct wheat mar keting research and to find new uses for wheat won almost unan imous approval of the house yes terday and went to the senate. Sponsors of the measure told the house that the wheat growers face a critical surplus problem in the next two years, and that the commission would go a long way toward solving it The commission would be financed by a tax of a half cent on each bushel of wheat, and would raise about $75,000 a year. The commission's administrator would be paid $10,000 a year. Youngest Of Foy Family To Marry HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 14 OP) Mary Foy, youngest member of the famous theatrical family, will be married Monday to Lyle La tell, film actor, her family an nounced today. Mary put aside her stage aspir ations recently, saying her fa ther, Eddie, had contributed enough talent in that direction. Hearn, about 30, chief pilot for the western division of Slick Airways. Inc.. was killed and William Day,' 29, Los Angeles, was critically injured early to day when the air freight car rier's cargo plane crashed near Stapleton airport.
