Langell Valley Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hodges pent several days at Crescent City. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hodges 1 of Merrill stayed with Larry . and Ronnie. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grohs ' have returned home after spending a week or more in Klamath Falls where he was recovering from pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Wes Dearborn and family and Mrs. Mary Dearborn were Sunday dinner ' Kuests of Mr. and Mrs. Al Dear born and family. ' Mr. and Mrs. Reg Thomas and Margaret Jane left Monday ; for Berkeley to visit his par- : e n t s, the Rev. land Mrs. J. Henry Thomas. They will go from Berkeley to Eugene and . visit Mr. and Mrs. Noel Thomas and Bill. Mr. and Mrs. Kurt ' Godsey arc staying with Ruth .' and David. L. A. Constans has returned home after spending some time in Lakevlew with his daughter, Margie Harbicson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross are spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott House. Deepest sympathy is extend ed to Mr. and Mrs, Luther No ble and other relatives on the death of little Barbara Ann, who passed away suddenly on Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shuck of Merrill and Paul Burns of Cen tral Valley visited on Sunday with the Lcs Lavitts. Rev. and Mrs. A. J. Herrcn and Bernice are here from Wash ington, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith and family. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott House spent last week in Klamath Falls with their daughter and son-in-law, the Dons Ross'. Sandra, the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Campbell, has been very ill but is report ed improving. Ruth and David Thomas and 1 Monte and Maria Burnett are 111 with chickenpox. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell are enjoying a month's visit in Texas with relatives and friends. Mrs. Harry Frazier and her mother, Mrs. Mary Smith, left Saturday for Yuba City to attend the wedding of their niece and granddaughter, Colleen Smith. Mrs. Smith will leave the last of January for New York where she will visit relatives and then go on to Scotland to spend sev eral months with her sister and other relatives. Ronnie Miles is ill with scar let fever. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Camp bell are spending the winter months at Red Bluff with their cattle. Mr. and Mrs. Elvis Smith of Los Angeles visited recently with her sister, Daisy McMahan and husband and with her brother, Ray Davis and family. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Brown ar rived home last Tuesday after a month's visit in Tennessee, Ken tucky and New Orleans. They visited their daughter, Mrs. Jesse Cohea and family and other rela tives and friends. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ron Phair on their son. born January 26. The Phalrs am former Bonanza residents, Mrs, Daisy Hickman is in the hospital in Klamath Falls. Mrs. Lcland Harris has re turned home after spending a week in Klamath Falls rcculvlng medical care. ' New Pine Creek A largo turnout was present at tho grange meeting last Sat urday evening to discuss tho possibility of erecting a new grange hall or rather to mako arrangements to better take euro of tho increasing Juvenile grange members. It was decided that for the present tho griingo would lease the Modern Woodman hall and assist tho latter in making necessary Improvements on tho property to make it uscablo and comfortable, and uso the urauuu hall the same as in the past until building materials are more plon- mm. It was decided that two benefit dances would be given in tho near future, to defray tho ex penses involved in renovating the Modern woodmen hall. Dates on these benefits have not yet been announced. Tho Modern Woodmen held a meeting last Tuesday evening to give sanction in a group to a proposed tlirce-yctir lease to tho grange on their hall. It was not learned definitely but it was pre sumed that tho group would ap prove the lease under terms dis cussed at the grange meeting. The Homo Ec club met last Thursday at the grange hall with 21 members present. Six new members were admitted into tno organization. Business of the meeting included the choosing of the fan pattern for tho grange quilt. Everyone is to bring ma tcrial for blocks at tho next meeting which will be Thursday, February 13, before St. Valen tine's Day on the Hth." Mrs. lino- gene Batman will be the next hostess.
