Friendship Camp Installs Officers ' Friendship camp, Royal Neighbors of America, held open in itallation and a program January 25, with about seventy-five members and friends present. Lodge was opened with presenta tion of the flag and singing of "America." The flower girls, Sharon Rosson and Shirley Barleen, pre sented both the retiring and officers-elect with red and white carnation corsages. ... . . . . Anna McCormack acted as Installing officer, Lucille Heifer koted as ceremonial marshal, and Kate Hogue as assistant cere monial marshal. Officers Installed were: Oracle, Jessie Steele; past oracle, Ella Bortis, who was presented with her past oracle pin at this time by her son, Glenn; vice oracle, Ilia Simpson; chancellor. Mildred Aikln; recorder, Anna Woolever; receiver, Kathleen Hepburn; marshals, Ada Barleen and Inez MaCoy; inner and outer sentinels,' Anna McCormack and Lillian Peterson; managers, Anna- Sha fer, Anna Bewer and Frank Steele; musician, Lola Myers; graces, Nellie Laniother DeLeise Slavmaker, Thelma Morris. Thelma Ernest, Mildred Markey; flag bearer, Grace 'Harris, who presented the flag and all sang The Star Spangled Banner' ; degree captain, Kate Hogue. Two piano solos were played by Ella. Bortis and a piano and violin duet by Mrs. A. Burgloft and her son Andrew. Past oracle pins for 1944 and 1945 were presented to Anna McCormack and Anna Sliafcr, who had not received their pins owing to the war. The past oracles and the re tiring officers presented the out going oracle with gifts of appre ciation. Ella Bortis presented each retiring officer with a gift and thanked them for their splen did cooperation during her year as oracle. The March of Dimes and the retiring march were the concluding numbers. Dancing and refreshments fol lowed. At the next meeting. February 14. a potluck dinner will be served. Prudhomme of Free water, Ore., formerly of Klamath Falls, and Donald C. An derson of Walla Walla. The service was performed Decem ber 29. Mid-Week SOCIETY Church Benefit A luncheon and Informal after noon was enjoyed last Thursday at 1 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church when women of the church entertained with a bene fit for the new building which is under way at 11th and High streets. Chairman of the luncheon was Mrs. Jack Cisler and she was assisted by Mrs. Chester Crees zcn. The tables were centered with deep orange chrysanthe mums and matching candles in crystal candlesticks. Twenty-six enjoyed the affair. There was a brief business meeting after the luncheon and new officers for the coming year were installed. President is Mrs. Herman A. Braatz. vice president is Mrs. John A. Kirkpatrick, Mrs. Cisler is secretary and Mrs. Bronislaus Lyk is the treasurer of the group. Auxiliary To Meet Thursday Mrs. Horace E. Getz will be hostess at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at her home. 511 Pa cific Terrace, to members of St. Paul's Woman's auxiliary. Mrs. R. Hebcr Radcliffe will lead the devotionals and Mrs. Harry R. Todd will give the book review. Engagement Mr. and Mrs. Harvey W. Wolfe of Tulelakc this week an nounced the engagement f their daughter Jean to Harry B. Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rose of Tulclake. Miss Wolfe is a graduate of Tulelake high school and is now employed in the Tulelake bank. She is past worthy advisor of the Rainbow Order for Girls. The young couple plan to live on Mrs. Rose' farm following their marriage. No date has been set for the wedding. Honor Guest On January 23, Mrs. Robert Posey entertained at her home with a luncheon in honor of her daughter. Mrs. Vernon Sayre, the former Ellen Posey. Aloha OES Aloha chapter, Order of (he Eastern Star, met Tuesday, Jan uary 28 in Masonic temple where the hall was decorated with tall baskets with modern istic winter arrangements and flowers in front of the altar. During chapter an impressive obligation service was presented with the five Star points hiking part, each with a lighted candlo in her color. Those partici pating wore, Adah, Khoriu llurn den; Ruth. Omega Peak; Esther, Blanche Marks; Martha, Jose phine Robinson; Electa, Lillian Haueline. Joe Kennedy, worthy natron. gave the obligation followed by a solo, "I Would Be True," sung by Margaret Sheridan, accom panied by Nora Metier. Alma Getz, program chairman for the evening, presented Joan Ben net, who played two piano numbers. Mae Balsiger, Clara DcWitt and Catherine Cospcr, past matrons, were hostesses for the evening. Refreshments were served In the parlors from a prettily ap pointed table by Florence Briggs, Beulah Balsiger. Eleanor Dunforth and Rosa Bolln. The next meeting will be February 11, when there will be initiation of candidates. A FORMER Klamath girl and student at Sacred Heart acad emy, Valrao Barry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell La- Flour of Perez, Calif., will wed Joe Dominguoz son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Dominguez of Dunsmuir, her parents an nounced recently. The family lived hero for three years be fore moving to Perez.
