Keno Child Struck By Car Clinton John Meyer, 7-ycnr-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. II. Meyer of the Keno highway, is in Klamath Valley hospital suf fering from multiple Injuries re ceived lute Monday afternoon when he Is said to have dashed in front of u car near his home. Driver of the machine. Walter Eugene Weaver, C! rants Pass, told Investigating state police that he saw the little boy stand ing ut the mall boxes on the right hand side of the road and suddenly the child run in front of the car toward his home. . Weaver applied tho brukes and turned to the left in nn attempt to avoid the boy but struck the child and a telephone pole. Of ficers sold they did not know whether the boy wos thrown by the Impact of the car or whether he was carried a distance by the machine. Clinton's condition was de scribed as fulr todny by the at tending physician wh'o said the boy had a fracture of the left leg, head Injuries, and internal hurts. The accident occurred at 4:43 p. m. nine miles from Klam ath Falls. Woman Fractures Arm In Fall Mrs. Myrtle Rhea, employed I at Black and White service sta-1 lion, suffered a fracture of the left arm when she fell early this morning, Tuesday, while I preparing to go to work. Mrs. Rhea slipped in the snow near her house. Following treatment at Klam ath Valley hospital, Mrs. Rhea was dismissed to return home. Police Search Man's Family The body of John Stevenson Colette, 31-year-old night club entertainer who was killed in a plane crash January 13 near Marysvllle, Calif., remains un claimed in a Marysville morgue and authorities again appealed to The Herald and News to lo cate the man's wife Alice, thought to be here or in Lake- view. A cull was received late Mon day afternoon by The Herald and News from the newsroom of the Marysville Appeal-Democrat, advising that Colette's body has not been buried and no trace of any relatives could be found. All of the entertain er's personal belongings were apparently In the plane which burned in Nevada county close to the Yuba county line. Col ette appeared here as "Johnny Stevens" at Lakeshore inn dur ing the holiday season but left Just before Christmas to fill an engagement as master of ceremonies at the Casablanca club in Marysville.
