50 Per Cent Of Spuds Left Preliminary Information based en potato shipments, diversion for feedlnf and general losses, to date, by Ross Aubrey, in charge of state-federal shipping point inspection and C.A. Hen derson, county agent, indicate approximately one-half of the potato crop of the Klamath basin still remains to be sold. Up to January 1, a total of ap proximately 3,500,000 sacks of potatoes had been disposed of or destined to be processed or fed to livestock during the win ter months or was lost due to cellar deterioration. Of this amount, slightly over 2.100.000 sacks were shipped with approx imately 2,200.000 sacks remain ing to be shipped, not consider ing about normal losses to stored potatoes that may occur during the next four months. This information indicates that potato shipments should be in the neighborhood of 500 to 1000 ; ( I BV GOSHY 8O.0OO 'SPRETTV FRANKLY, I I r . I we've I in gold: I good Minever I Hr-TA. DONE IT?
