6 o Methodist To Feature Yule Music A program of Christmas music will be presented by the choir of the First Methodist church on Sunday at 8 p. m. Preceding the choir in the processional will be several young women of the Methodist Youtli Fellow ship who will light the tapers. The story of the Nativity will be told in song through the can tata, "The Story of Bethleviem," bv William R. Spence, and In special numbers. Soloists for the evening will be Paul Deller, Fred Goodwin. Wynn Southwell. Wendell Smith. Mrs. Robert Banister, Catherine Blanas, Con nie Hunt and Gerald Fales. John O'Connor will be featured as viola soloist playing the "An dante" from Concerto in B Mi nor by Handel and the Bach Gounod, "Ave Maria." The Christmas scripture will be read by tie Rev. Victor Phil lips. Patricia Hunt is the church organist and Mrs. Robert Craig, the director. Order of the program is Kie firelude by Mrs. Hunt, the candle ighting, the processional, "Ades te Fideles," O'Connor's viola solo, and the cantata. "lO A farm bureau meeting was held at the Summer Lake grange hall Monday evening and a lo cal bureau organized for the north end of Lake county. Dan Shumaker of Silver Lake was elected president; John Withers, vice president, and Guy Foster, secretary-treasurer. The organ ization was formed to give rep resentation to farmers and ranchers in the north end of the county who were unable to at tend the southern Lake county farm bureau due to the travel distance. All the churches of that denomination in the country are cooperating to raise half a million dollars in a single day, Saturday, De cember 21. for a famine relief oferinf. Pastor P. C. Alder son of Klamath Falls announced this week. A cablegram from W. E. Nel son of Washington, D. C, who is visiting churches in Europe, urges American churches to come to the aid of people in Europe. Figures to be given ' to churches Saturday show that the Adventist relief organiza tion has shipped over a million dollars in food to Austria, Hun gary, Czechoslovakia and Ger many in recent months where they have been effectively dis tributed, and many letters of appreciation have been re ceived. Of the 800 tons of cloth ing shipped, 29 barrels have been sent by the Klamath Falls Dorcas society. Christmas To Be Sermon Theme Christmas and the birth of the Christ child will be the theme of all services on Sunday at the First Covenant church, 823 Walnut. The Sunday school which meets at 10 a. m. will study the Christmas story and at the 11 a. m. worship service the pastor will take as his topic, "Keeping Christmas, but Reject ing Christ." Baptist Choirs Give Program The two choirs of the Itvtman uel Baptist church will present a unique program Tuesday, Christmas Eve, at 12 midnight. The play is pantomime, during which the choir will sing Christ mas songs to the reading of the Christmas story. The-Sunday morning service will feature Christmas music, and the pastor will bring the Christmas message. The Sunday school will present its program on Sunday evening at 7 p. m. Mrs. Edbert Zcll is in charge of the program. The Immanuel Melody Hour Is heard over station KFLW at 9:30 p. m. Sunday. A special Christmas radio program will be heard over the same station, Wednesday, Christmas Day, at 1:15 p. m. Sunday School Program Held The Klamath temple Sunday school program will be present ed on Friday night at the church. The presentation will begin promptly at 8 p. m. ' There will be special numbers, including songs, dialogues, reci tations and tableaux, with all departments participating. A box of candy will be given to all boys and girls present.
