Edna Russell and Jean Porlcr, well known Klamath Falls teachers, have returned to their homes here after attending the sum . mer session at San Jose college. While in California, they en joyed visits with a number of former residents of this city, in cluding the Charles Ganxlons, now residing at Los Gato. and Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Grocsbeck who have also purchased a home near that city. While in San Jose, they were guests several times of Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Wright and visited in San Mateo with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Park who are now managing a couple of dress shops there. Returning Andrew Loney Jr., who has been traveling on business back east for several weeks, will return to Klamath Falls tomorrow. Loney is head of the music department of Klamath Falls public schools. He was accompanied on the trip by his wife and family. Redecorated The Klamath Union high school fieldhouse has recently been repainted, ac cording to Ed Ryan, head KUHS coach for next year. The build ing was painted only on the in side, and was done in a red white color scheme. Moor Parle The Royal Neighbors of America and their families will hold their annual picnic at Moore park, Sunday, August 18, at 1 p. m. Members should bring a picnic lunch and dinner service. Ice cream and beverages will be furnished. Call 4724 before 10 a. m. Sun day for transportation. Dentist Moves Here Dr. A. T. Huntington, recently of Prine ville. Ore., has moved to Klam ath Falls and will be associated with Dr. Boyd Sprague in the dental offices on East Main street near South Sixth. Dr. Huntington practiced several years at Prineville. Picnic The Oddfellows. Re bckahs and friends will hold their annual picnic Sunday, August 18. at the gravel pit. The picnic will be potluck, with the lodges furnishing coffee and ice cream. Members should bring their own table service. Pythiam A picnic at Moore park will be held by the Pythian club Friday, 1 p. m. It will be potluck and members should bring their own table service. Those going are asked to meet at the city library between 12:30 and 1 p. m. Visited Jean Silliman, daughter of Mr., and Mrs. F. R. Silliman of 1140 Monclaire. visited with her parents last week. She returned to her home in Portland by plane. Guests Visiting the Clyde James home are Mr. and Mrs. Walker, Walter Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Judd Faulis and sons. Bill and Phil. They are from Miami, Fla., and Seneca, Mo. Jayceettes The Jayceettes will meet Wednesday evening at 8 p. m. in the chamber of com merce. They will work on their Centennial project. Wives of all Jaycees are urged to attend. In Missouri Doris Ethridge, daughter of Mrs. Clyde James, is visiting her maternal grand mother in Pawhuska, Mo. She is expected home this week. He lives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Smith at 648 Prescott and route 28 is the one in his neighborhood. As for school, it's just something to be endured until summer rolls around again. He'll be in the seventh grade at Fairview this fall. Ronald has been in Klam ath Falls for eight years, but he's a native son of Oregon and was born in Lakevicw. The dream of this young man's life right now is to have a bicycle, but he can't decide whether he wants to spend the money he's saved on a bicycle or save it a while longer. M. United is seeking authority to connect its existing Pacific coast route from Vancouver through Klamalh Falls and other key Pacific coast cities to San Diego, with LAMSA's route from Mexico City to Nogales, Ariz. Such an operation. United officials point out, would pro vide new and important air ties for the swift movement of both passengers and cargo be tween the 32 cities now on United's west coast airway and the 15 cities served by LAMSA (Linens Aereas Mexicanas, S. A.) United's exhibits show that the proposed United-LAMSA op eration would, for example, place Klamath Falls eight hours from Nogales, 9S hours from Cananea. 10 1 hours from Nue vo Casas Grandes, 12 hours from Chihuahua. 13 hours from Parral, 14 V, hours from Torreon. 14 ' hours from San Luis Potosi, 15S hours from Durango and 18 hours from Mexico City. "It is evident that the strong commercial ties between this country and Mexico necessitate the development of rapid and convenient lines of communica tion to the fullest extent," says United's presentation.
