S I A') Four human guinea pigs in the navy's "Operation Everest" apparently were none the worse today after "ascending" 4000 feet higher than man has ever gone with a simple oxygen mask, The four navy volunteers were released late yesterday from the 10-foot square cham ber where they had lived under simulated high altitude condi tions for 34 days and eight hours. The operation was climaxed when, after undergoing a care- ! ful conditioning process, the oxygen masked men were whisked to a simulated heighth of 50,000 feet 4000 feet higher than anyone has ever been with out the aid of pressuriied equip ment.
