Eight et Forty To Meet Tonight The Eight ct Forty, fun and hanor group within the American Legion auxiliary, will meet tonight, Wednesday, at the home of Mn. Mildred Cooper on Melrose at 6:30 o'clock. Stunt and skits will be presented by members of the group after an outdoor picnic supper. Layette Shower DAIRY A layette shower was given Friday afternoon, July 25, at two o'clock at the home of Mrs. Olaf Nelson in Dairy In honor of Mrs. O. Nel son. New officers are Arlena Schu bert, la petit chapeau; Myrtle Finley, la chapeau premiere; Mabel Foster, la deml chapeau; Leola Heilbronner, la secretaire; Jennie Hum, la amouniere; Myrtle McGehey, la archiviste; Lina Motschenbacher, la con cierge; and Mildred Cooper, la surintendante. Social Club Mrs. Eva Myers and Mrs. Esther Mast entertained the Rebekah Social club Wednes day, July 24 at the Mvers' home, 500 N. 9th. The luncheon table was centered with a mixed bouquet and covers were laid for fourteen. Mrs. Briggs, past noble grand of Dunsmuir, was seated in the place of honor and later re ceived the special award. Cards were played later in the day and honors went to Mrs. Briggs and Stella Dryden. The meeting on August 14 will be at the home of Vera Clemens on the Keno highway, and secret pals will be revealed at this time. Waffle Social On Wednesday evening, July 24, a waffle social was held at the home of Mary Lou Bates. Refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mary Lou Bates and Ruth Peyton.
