Roy Hawkins was known as Roy Bergloff when he was a KUHS footballer under Frank Ramsey. He was a mighty good heavyweight while in the CBI war theater and is a boy to watch. More Ducks, Or Less For some months past the U. S. Fish and Wildlife service has been conducting a copius cam paign to convince people that this country's duck population is just about all shot to hades and that shorter seasons and reduced bag limits are on the way. But the Ducks Unlimited out fit, which keeps an eye on water fowl in this region and operates duck farms one place or another up in Canada, reports just the opposite. They say that bounti ful rainfalls up in western Can ada last montn have made the 1946 duck crop picture look like something by Rembrandt. , Before long there ought to be some dope leaking out as to what kind of regulations duck hunters are going to have placed on them for this fall, but my guess is that the U. S. Fish and Wildlife service is going to win out and both the season and bag limits will be shorter this year.
