The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. E. E. Hambrick at his home, 845 Eldorado. I For her wedding the bride chose a .suit of gray with black lace accessories. Her shoulder' corsage was of pink rosebuds,! and she carried a white Bible. Attending the couple were Mrs. Bob Henry and Gerald Hyde. Mrs. Henry wore gray with a corsage of spring flowers. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Fisher received at their new home, 412 High. The re freshment table was centered with an arrangement of Dink roses, carnations and weet peas with lighted white tapers on either side. In addition to the bride and groom, guests were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rickbeil, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Henry. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ruge, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Patterson and Gerald Hyde. Mr. Fisher was discharged last fall from the army after long overseas service. Wed Sunday Bertha Lloyd, daughter of Mrs. Alma Goffey, became the bride of Emerald Dubois, son of Mrs. Eva Dubois of 2168 Madi son, Sunday, June 23. The ceremony was held in the Du bois home. The bride wore a pastel dress with a gardenia and pink rose corsage. A reception was held follow ing the wedding at which the three-tiered wedding cake was cut by the bride and groom. The couple left for a month s wedding trip to visit Yellow stone park and relatives in Wyo ming and Montana. They will be at home at 2168 Madison af ter the middle of July. Supper MALIN The Malin grange. 707, met Tuesday evenine at 7 o'clock for a potluck supper. There was an exceptionally large turnout, and following the supper, plans were made for a picnic to be held at the Paygr ranch Sunday, July 7. Meeting Features Pioneer Theme In keeping with the coining Centennial celebration, the Business and Professional Women introduced a pioneer flavor into their Monday night dinner Decorations, arranged by Tolle, carried out the theme with gray sage and Indian paint brush arranged in authentic Indian baskets loaned for the oc casion by Mrs. Don Fisher. The sage was held In place by oddly shaped red lava rocks. Pictures of the map of the emigrant road through southern Oregon, of Capt. Jack and many other his torical characters of early set- tier days were arranged on the wall. These were loaned by Don Fisher, custodian of the Lava Beds national monument. Mrs. Geneva Duncan, presi dent of the Centennial associa tion, a guest at the dinner, wore an authentic silk dress of the early days, belonging to one of Klamath's pioneer families. She told of the activities of the as sociation in preparing the pa geant and celebration set for August 22, 23 and 24. Songs written by Stephen Foster during the last century were sung by George Willis, who was accompanied on the piano by Elaine Abbott. Willis and Miss Abbott were intro duced by Mrs. Isabelle Brixner Phone 5063 m m meeting. Annis Struthers and Gertrude I who gave a brief summary of the life of the compowr. Introduced by the program chairman, Elenora Weatherford, president of the Edith Cunning Book club, Mrs. Lyle Kimball gave an interesting review of her experiences here in the days of 1906. including stage rides and boat rides. Mrs. Lo raine Quillan reviewed the book, 'The Immortal Wife." telling of the wife of General John C. Fremont, one of the early trail blazers to this area. Other guests present were Mrs. Don Fisher. Mrs. Ida Mom yer Odell, Lenore A. Gallagher, Elaine Callaghan of Portland, Lizzie Mitchell, Eva Lea Long and Frances E. McNeil. Meeting Neichbors of Woodcraft held a regular meeting in the KC hall Monday, July 1 at 8 p. m. It was reported that cards of sym pathy and flowers were sent to Sylvia Brannon. It was also reported that neighbor Mustoe, now living in Seattle, was recently injured in a car accident, and that Effie Redkey's mother is seriously ill. Stella Wells, whose birthday fell during the month of May, was escorted to the campfire by Mildred Smith, captain of the guards, and the group sang "Happy Birthday." Bertha Kandy received the Sunshine March award at this meeting, at the previous meet ing it was received by Viola Leever. Vera Reeves and Stella Dry den were members of the com mittee for the evening, July 1. The next time, July 15, there win be a short business meeting ; followed by entertainment fur-; nished by the losing side in the recent membership and attend- j ance contest, and Stella Dryden ! will be committee chairman. The Juveniles of Neighbors of Woodcraft met Monday after-! noon in the KC hall for busi-! ness, games and no-host refresh-! ments. New Term MERRILL The newlv In stalled officers of the Women of the Moose, Merrill chapter 18, held their first meeting of the new term on July 2. Reports of standing commit tees were reud. Olcvlu Hobbs and Dorrls Wlncbarger, who at tended a meeting of the Mer rill Service club held June 28, gave their report to the chap ter, and the chapter voted to sponsor a temporary recreation program at the community hall for the young people of Merrill and surrounding district. The graduate regents will have charge of the rummaue sale to be held this fall. The ! date has been set for Septem ber 27 and 28. I It was announced that Dovle j Reeder, associate regent of the i college of regents, will pay the chapter an official visit at the next regular meeting. All new ly appointed committee chair men are asked to be present at this meeting In order that the official visitor may instruct them in their duties. The next regular meeting will be July 18 to conform with the plans of the Loyal Order of Moose. Members adjourned to the Oddfellows' hull where the new officers served refreshments. . . .
