Salmon prices, which jumped sharply with end of price controls, continued well above the old ceilings. Four halibut schooners brought a total of 188.000 pounds of fish here yesterday. Opening bids were 21 cents a pound for med ium halibut and 19 cents for large and small, but prices ad vanced to 28 38 and 23 cents. The OPA ceilings were 17 i and 16 cents. Fishermen got 38 to 38si cents a pound for red salmon and 31 cents for white and sil ver, compared with OPA ceil ings averaging 18 cents. The top salmon price has held around 38 cents since soon after ceilings were removed. Court Fines Youth On Assault Charge Pleading guilty to assault and battery in justice court yester day afternoon. Willie Glen Pigg, 20, of 4316 Freida. paid a $25 fine. He was charged with as saulting Robert W. Mitchell, 3136 Cannon, at the Mitchell home last Saturday night Freeland McLeod, 18, of 253 Martin, and Elmer R. Albert son, 20, 445 Market, each plead ed guilty to trespassing and re fusing to leave Mitchell's house when ordered to do so, and paid $25 fines.
