Rites Solemnized Sunday Afternoon TULELAKE Before an altar banked with white gladioli, white itock and palms complimented by lighted while tapers, Phylixi Mae Snyder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Snyder became the bride of Aurel Keith Hanchett. The groom is the son of Mrs. Tom Newton of Brooking, Oregon. The double ring ceremony was read at three o'clock, Sunday afternoon, June 16 In the Tule-w lake Community Presbyterian church by Rev. Hugh L. Bran son. Preceding the ceremony, Conrad Schultz of Santa Ana. a former resident of Tulelake, sang "Through the Years" and immediately following the vows, "The Lord's Prayer." Mrs. E. Webb Staunton, accom panist, also played the wedding marches. Pews for members of the family and intimate friends were marked with clusters of white gladioli and white satin ribbon. The bride, given In marriage by her father, wore a long gown of whit slipper satin made with tight bodice, long sleeves and full train. Her veil of illusion net was caught be neath a Juliet cap and she car ried a white Rainbow Bible and a single orchid in recognition of her former office of worthy advisor in the Tulelake assem bly, Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Pat Kirksey, a cousin of the bride, in a floor length blue frock, wore a shoulder veil held by a halo of pink carnations. Blanche Capurro, classmate of the bride from the Universi ty of Nevada, at Reno, Angeline Galloway of Tulelake, and Marge Larson of Sacramento were the bridesmaids. All wore similar frocks. Miss Capurro and Miss Galloway in pink and Miss Larson in blue. All wore halos of carnations and carried Rainbow Bibles with carnation trim. Bonnie Jean Bell, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Bell, Klamath Falls, and Lucy Ellen Blickenstaff, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jones. nieces of the groom, in pastel shaded frocks, were flower girls. The best man was Cloyd Laughlin, and ushers were Her man Turnbaugh, French E. Johnson Jr., and Gregory Brooks all of Tulelake. A reception in the church an nex followed the ceremony with the bride and groom cutting the first piece of the four-tiered, pink rose - encircled wedding cake. Pouring were Mrs. Har riet McGuire and Lavina Ra- melli, both of Reno. As the guests assembled Alice Doyle, a Delta Delta Delta sister of the bride, sane "Bells of St. Mary's" and the Tri-Delta song, "Sail Away." with Mrs. Staunton at the piano. Wedding gifts were displayed during the reception. For traveling the new Mrs. Hanchett wore a navy ensemble with white accessories and the orchid from her Bible at the shoulder. Both wore pink rose bud corsages. Mr. and Mrs. Hanchett will make their home following their wedding trip south on the ranch owned by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Newton. The bride has been a student at the Universi ty of Nevada and the groom has been discharged after long serv ice with the marine corps in tne Pacific. Sunday Rites On Sunday. June 23, Gilda Gay McLeod. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. V. Loomis of 2123 Darrow, and Pfc. Lewis Neldon Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Morris of Klamath Falls, were married in the parsonage of the First Baptist church with the Rev. C. C. Brown reading the service. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Slaughter. The bride chose for her wed ding a lime-green tailored suit with black hat and accessories, and her corsage was of rust-colored roses and gardenias. Fol lowing the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Morris left for a short trip by automobile, on Thursday he is to leave for Ft. Lawton, Wash., and then to his home station in Japan. He has been in the serv ice for several montns, most ot this time in the Pacific zone. Recently Wed Barbara Rose McLean, daugh-i ter of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Mc-j Lean of Weyerhaeuser, became the bride of Leonard M. Hamil ton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Thome Hamilton of Ren- ton, Wash. The ceremony was read at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 16, before a flower-banked altar, by the ev. C. Ellsworth Wilson. A friend of the groom. Louis Charreski, was best man. A reception followed at the home of Mrs. Ted Shoop of 330 N. 2nd, where the bride and groom cut their wedding cake. Serving were Mrs. Shoop and Mrs. Hal McCullough. Mr. and Mrs. Jones spent a brief wedding trip in San Fran cisco, and are now at home at 122 Hillside. Senior Circl Mull Friday Owing to the absence of the president and vice president, there was no business transact ed at the meeting of the Senior circle of the Community Con gregational church, held In the social hall on Garden last Fri day.
