Fyock. business manager of the rim lodge, left Monday for Crater hike, driving ono of the two ricwly-piirchuxcd buses, tuklng up supplies and paint. His family will move up to the lake Wednesday to spend the summer. Buses will start on a regular schedule to the lake Suturduy, June 15, making one round- trip per day, it was announced. Boats are being painted and readied but will not be available for use until around the end of June, Fyock stated, due to the amount of work Involved in opening trails to the water, which have been closed during the war years. At present 35 of the 130 rooms at the lodge are ready for occupancy, and a tremen dous amount of work Is neces sary before the opening sched uled for Saturday. Reservation requests have exceeded all cx- fiectatlons and a record-break-ng crowd is expected on the opening weekend. Roads were opened for one-way traffic to the lake only three days ago. No lights had been Installed by today and the work crew has been using flashlights. How ever, a big diesel generating filant has been sent up to supply Ight for the lodge and should be In working order by Satur day.
