Bride On Sunday
' A lovely bride of Sunday, May 26, was Mary Ellen Wilson,
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson of Louisville,
Kentucky, who exchanged vows with Sgt. Lloyd Edward Crum
packer at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan
Crumpacker, 2169 Madison.
The ceremony was read at 4 o'clock by the Rev. Hush T.
Mitchelmore of Peace Memorial Presbyterian church in the
presence of about 40 friends and relatives. The bride, given In
marriage by Mr. Crumpacker, wore a beautiful white satin gown
with a full skirt of white chif-
fon which ended In a long train. I
Her full length veil of illusion
net was held by a crown of
fresh flowers. She carried an
arm sheath of pink roses.
For something old and some
thing borrowed, the bride wore
Mrs. R. E. Morrison's veil, and
something blue was a blue
handkerchief loaned by an aunt
of the groom, Mrs. M. R. Hou
ser. Her something new was
her gown.
Laura Crumrine, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Crum
rine, was the bride's attendant
and she wore a gown of ice
blue jersey and carried a nose
gay of sweet peas. The best
man was B. D. Morrison and
the flower girl was pretty little
Judith Ann Morrison, daughter
of Mr, and Mrs. R. E. Morrison.
Ushers were Stanley Elsmore
and Bob Morrison.
Immediately after the cere
mony the young couple cut their
elaborately decorated wedding
cake and serving were Mrs. S.
T. Morrison, Mrs. George Con
drey and Mrs. Stanley Elsmore
who also presided at the punch
bowl. Receiving with the cou
ple was Mrs. Ivan Crumpacker
who wore a fuchsia crepe after
noon dress.
Mr. and Mrs. Crumpacker
will remain here during the
month of June, and early in
July they plan a trip which will
take them to Seattle and other
northern points. Sgt. Crum
packer reports July 27, to Mc
Allister, Oklahoma, navy am
munition depot, and his bride
will accompany him. The two
met shortly after Sgt. Crum
packer returned from service
in the Pacific with the United
States marines and this also
included three years and six
months in Japanese prison
camps following the fall of Ba
Uan. He will remain in the
marine corps.
The bride attended school in
