Friday Shower Mrs. Remo Mclchlorl enter tained it the Pelican party room Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock, honoring Ada Giacomelli whose marriage to Thomas Rcllly of Indianapolis, Ind., will take place In that city the latter part of June. MiM Giacomelli It leaving for San Francisco and from there for Indianapolis this next week, accompanied by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Pete Hulse. Mrs. E. Gia comelli of Dunsmuir, mother of Mrs. Melchlori, is expected here to spend the weekend. Guests at the affair, which was a bridal shower, included Mrs. Vernon George, Mrs. E. P. Evans. Shower Mrs. Aldo Ferrari was guest of honor at a stork shower given bv Mrs. Arnold Colahan and Mrs. Ray Baker, Thursday eve ning. May 16. Gifts were placed in a pink and blue doll buggy, and bowls of tulips were used about the room. Refreshments were served. Attending were Mrs. Ferrari, Mrs. Albert Bonotto. Mrs. Jerry Coleman, Mrs. Bill Hanson, Mrs. Charles Paschal, Mrs. Fred Horn, Mrs. Jim Balcom, Mrs. Frank Niles. Mrs. Jack Walters, Mrs. Aldo Ferrari, Mrs. Doris Scott, Mrs. Helen Douglas, Mrs. Colahan and Mrs. Baker. Lillian Simonson and Sylvia Laird entertained a group of children who were present with a lawn party during the after noonr The youngsters played games and were served refreshments. Wedding Bells Friends here nave learned of the recent wedding of a former Klamath Falls girl. Florence Louise Shuey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Shuey of Huntington Park. Calif., to Cpl. Robert Eugene Wetzel, USMCR, son of Mrs. Betty Baseel of Sac ramento. The bride is the granddaugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter West, former residents now making their home in Oakland, Calif. Wedding bells rang for the young couple in mid-April at St Clements' Episcopal church. The bride wore a princess-styled white satin gown and fingertip veil held in place with a halo of crystals and pearls and carried an arm bouquet of white sweet peas, lilies and orchids. A member of the wedding party was Paul Foster Evans, HA 1c, United States navy, cousin of the bride and also a former Klamath resident. Mrs. Shuey, mother of the bride, is the former Marion West. - Past Matrons Will Meet Past Matrons of the Order of Eastern Star will meet Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, May 31, in the Masonic temple for the regular monthly luncheon and afternoon of bridge of Aloha Past Matrons club. Mrs. O. F. Konschot, club president, will preside during the brief busi ness session. Serving as hostesses for the afternoon will be Mrs. Ida Mor etz, Mrs. Leland Willits, Mrs. O. W. Spiker and Mrs. Flora Heid. Uncle Sam Gets Busy No, Uncle Sam does not set a banquet for the fellow who robs the bank. Instead, he trails him, tries him and puts him behind the bars. Just so, God does not set a banquet for such as break His command, which ts, to believe on His Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, as having died for their sins. Such as re ject Christ must go on in Bible death, which is to be forever separated from God. Your sins have separated between you and your God. This takes in a lot of good folks who think God will okay their sin of re jecting Christ. Christ upheld God's law. He stepped in and took your cins and became the sinner and died under the law which says the soul that sinneth, it shall die. That settled with the law and it cleared you. His mother did not feel saved and so Sonny read her John 3:16 from the Bible. It says that Christ died for her sins. Be lieve it and you have from God eternal life. "It's still in the Bible, Mother, and you still arc saved." So Sonny told her. Feelings' or no feelings, still saved. Same for you. Believe God, that Christ settled with the law for you and by that God has made you His own and breathed His life into your soul. Now prove the new life.
