Police Seek Lad Missing Since May 7 Anyone who has seen Ray mond Scheck, 16, since Tues day, May 7, Is requested to get in touch with state police im mediately. Scheck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Scheck, 2109 Gary, is thought to be in possession of a Springfield rifle. He apparent ly left home Tuesday while his mother was down town. When she returned there was note saying he was "going for a walk to quiet my nerves." He was reported seen in a downtown cafe Tuesday eve ning, ordering a large meal. When last seen he wore tan trousers, brown and white checked sport shirt, red and black plaid blazer. He has brown eyes and wears glasses, is about 8 feet 10 inches tall, weighs between 155 and 160 pounds and has a loose build. His hands and wrists are ban daged because of a skin rash. Raymond Scheck't father has recently been released from mil itary service and is employed at the Klamath Falls post of fice as superintendent of mails. Oregon Oil Drillers Get Dry Hole Again PORTLAND, Ore.. May 11 (X) The Cooper mountain No. 1 test well 15 miles west of here has reached a 9263-foot depth with out showing oil, and drilling operations will be abandoned, Texas company official said to day. Drilling began in October. Equipment had been moved from Columbia county, which al so produced a dry hole. COMMISSIONER DIES SALEM. May 11 (P) Death of James E. Smith, 75, for more than 20 years Marion county commissioner, was reported here yesterday. Smith, who long had worked for paved roads In the county, had been in ill health for some time.
