Automobile Stolen
On Downtown Street
A 1S38 Buick sedan, owned
by Dick Henzel of Malin, was
reported to city police as stolen
from where it was parked at
4th and Main yesterday afternoon.

Garbage Collectors
Report Food Saving
PORTLAND, May 8 WP
Portland is saving food with a
vengeance in the food-for-famine
campaign, it was reported today
by the men who ought to know.
Garbage collectors told the
state food-for-famine committee
that the amount of discarded
food has decreased noticeably.
Bread sent from restaurants and
bakeries for hog food is about
75 per cent below normal, the
committee reported.
