Houston, taking of fice aa the new chamber presi dent at the board of directors meeting Wednesday, announced these alignment: Aviation, P. S. Hitchcock; civic affairs and education, Mal colm Epley; finance, Mitchell Tillotson; housing. Vera Moore; Indian affairs, William Ganong; industrial development. Merle West; inter-community rela tions, Malcolm Epley; lumber, A. M. Collier. National affairs and legisla tion, William Ganong; roads, H. P. Bosworth Jr.; service fund, A. M. Collier; taxation, E. A. Geary; tourist, J. Vern Owens; veterans affairs, Fred Heilbron per. Assignments will be an nounced later for the chamber quarters and publicity commit tees, also a committee to take care of agricultural interests. Vern Moore was named liai son officer for the Klamath Merchants association. He an nounced the meeting of the as sociation to be held at 10 a. m. Friday in the chamber office to elect officers and discuss in stalling parking meters on Main street. The seven directors to serve on the executive committee are John H. Houston, chairman: H. P. Bosworth Jr., A. M. Collier, Malcolm Epley, William Ga nong, P. S. Hitchcock, J. Vern Owens. The annual chamber meeting will be held May 21 in the KUHS auditorium at 8 p. m. Several outstanding speakers have been suggested for this meeting and the name of the man chosen will be announced later. Portland chamber mem bers will be guests and between 35 and 40 are expected to at tend from the northern city. Mushen To Head Concert Group : I 1 .. if"-, . J Samuel A. Mushen. long active in the Klamath Community Concert association, was named president at election of officers this week. Mushen replaces George Mclntyre. for two years head of the concert group. Lester Ofiield will serve as treasurer. First vice president is William Hagelstein: second, Arnold Gralapp; third. Louis R. Mann; fourth, George Mclntyre. Appreciation for Mclntyre'. services was sincerely expressed by members of the association on his retirement. On Vacation Barbara Adams and Dorothy Richey of Klam ath Falls are home on vacation from laboratory technician school in San Francisco. They will return to the bay region early next week. Ho had livevi in Klainatli Kails for the past 38 years and was 74 yeurs of at;o at the time of his passing. Mr. Coan Is survived by a daughter, Patricia Whittakvr of Corvallis, who has arrived here for final rites which will be conducted Saturday at 10 a. m. from the chapel of Ward's Funeral home with Rev. How ard F. Hutchins of the First Christian church officiating. Concluding service and inter ment will follow at Linkville cemetery with officers of lOOF lodge in charge. Mr. Coan was a member of lOOF lodRe No. 137, Canton crater, Klamath Falls Knights of Pythias lodge and Ewauna Encampment. Clarified Ads Bring Results. C. Of C. Man Shoots Wife, Then Kills Self COQU1LLE, May 2 (V) An elderly husband killed himself after critically wounding his estranged wife in a downtown shooting here yesterday, Chief of Police K. H. Cragcr report ed. Crager said Harry B. Steiuer, 63, Sixes, died almost instantly of a bullet wound in the chest after he had shot his wife throe times In front of a store here. Mrs. Steincr, 44, and her hus band had been separated for about two months, Crager re ported. Mrs. Steiner, daughter of Dr. W. R. Cartwrlght.
