Mothers of members of the sor ority will be guests at this time. Founders Day, celebrated everywhere by chapters of this lorority will be observed April 80, with a formal banquet to be given in the Pelican party room with both the Tau chapter and Kappa chapter participating. The passing of the traditional box of candy to the group told of the recent marriage of one of Its member, Katherine Kaler, to Eldon C. Phalr. On Friday evening, the Bor dens are giving an informal din ner at their home on Oregon avenue for their house guests, Mrs. Stine and Mrs. Jones, sis ter and mother of Mrs. Borden, and for Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Whitlatch of Security ranch at Malin. Mrs. Stine and small daugh ter, Beverly Jean, plan to leave Sunday for their home in Port land. Mrs. Jones is remaining in this city to make her home. Four Circles The four circles of the Wom an's Society of Christian Service ' of the First Methodist church met Thursday, April 11, for des sert at 1:30, as follows. Mrs. J. C. ! Hunt of 70 Pine, was hostess to ' Ruth circle and nine members were present Mrs. Victor Phil lips gave the day's lesson and, Mrs. L. K. Phelps, Mrs. Bruce Binkley and Mrs. Walter Hern don presented an interview upon missionaries in Africa and their work. Mrs. S. A. Gaster of Home dale will be hostess for the next meeting. Esther circle met with Mrs Arthur Skinner of 202 N. 4th. and she was assisted by Mrs John Riach, who also conductei the devotional service. Mrs John Yadon was in charge of the study hour and Mrs. J. D. Gil lespie, chairman, was in charge of the business meeting. Nine teen members attended. The place for the May meeting will be announced later. Martha circle was entertained at the home of Mrs. Frank Evans of 1740 Wall, and she was assist ed by Mrs. Steve Moss. Mrs Baker, chairman, was in charge of the- business meeting anc Edith Baker presented the les son. There were 12 members and two guests. Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Myers. Mrs. W. Carleton will be hostess for the next cir cle meeting. Mrs. E. W. Mocabee enter tained Mary circle at her home, 435 High, with 13 members at tending. Mrs. Howry presented the lesson, Mrs. Mocabee, chair man, conducted the business ses sion and Mrs. Broskye, the de votions. There was one guest Mrs. Deyo. Mrs. George Rikcr will be the hostess in May at her home on Harlan drive. Entertained Mrs. Grace Jerrue entertained the Townsend auxiliary Wednes day, April 3, at her home, 1614 Summers lane. A short special meeting was called to plan for the annual r-asier party wnicn will be a si lent sister gift exchange, to be held Wednesday, April 17, at the home of Eva Myers. Auxiliary Meets Thursday Evening Members of the ladies auxil iary of the Brotherhood of Rail road Trainmen met in the KC hall Thursday evening, April 11, at 8 for a regular business meet ing with Mrs. Lawrence Roman presiding, and 16 members pres ent. The flower committee for the next three months will be Mrs. Dean Siebert, Mrs. Wal ter Fuller, and Mrs. Homer Cald well. Following the meeting re freshments were served by Mrs. Floyd Wilkes, Mrs. John Corrie, and Mrs. Austin. The next meeting will be April 25, at 2:30 p. m.
