The Torch Honor is a national society, Foreign Articles Receiv Notic Various countries of the world aro being represented in the world geography classes by their produce. Students of this class, which is open only to freshmen, have been bringing rare and Interesting articles representing the countries that they are studying. Some of the collections have included velvets intricately em broidered with real gold and silver threads from Inflia, oriental rugs, a Meerschaum pipe, Venetian glass and pottery, and a Norwegian costume. Coins, stamps, swords from many countries were also on dlspluy. A pressed flower collection from Palestine was another of the un usual Items brought to the class room. A pipe which at one time was General Custer's, caused quite a Dit 01 interest among the students. This article was brought by Elden Jensen whose great grandfather found it. The pipe is inscribed with the date 1810. It has been highly valued as a collector's item. , Now items have been appear ing every day and the classes under the direction of Mrs. Peak, world geography teacher, are busy preparing for an exhibit on China which will be on display after spring vacation.
