Group To Talk Civic Affairs LAKEVIEW, Feb. 25 (Speciol) A program of private business district Improvements will be tho feature of Monday evening's second monthly meeting of the civic coordinating council. The session will take place at 7:30 p. m, In the courthouse. Also to be discussed will be a progress report on the pro posed project to construct a public auditorium and other fa cilities. Chief officers of all local or ganizations represented on the council arc urged to be present. A survey committee, headed by C. C. Peppers Claam During the half time the Pep Peppers put on a drill In which they "shone." The Peppers used llluminou point for the sake of novelty. They glowed from head to toe, for their shoes were painted, as were large cardboard peppers, which were worn on their backs, and cards which were held at various angles during the drill. The drill consisted of the forming of a "K," and an "A" and sev eral drill formations all done In the dark. Albany Assembly Short The pep assembly held for the Albany game was brief and the kids were excused early. Arlo Shultz was in charge of the assembly held at 3:35, which consisted of several' yells by the yell squad, the presenta tion of pins to the senior stu dent body officer, and short talks by Bob McLean and John Linman on tne game. Wendell Smith, who super vises the student council, pre sented Jim Howard, student body president, and Darlenc Gehrmann, student body secre tary, with gold and red K pins which are supposed to bo given to student body officers who are In their senior , year. Pictures were posted on tne homeroom bulletin board for these two days so that students could decide If they wlsned to order.
