Sand meycr assured tho directors that Klamath Falls will put in a strong bid to bring the 'an nual state convention of the Juycces to this city in May. Morse Raps GOP In Talk BOISE, Feb. 12 (P) Republi can Senator Wayne Morse of Oregon lust night declared his party has not tried to prevent "tho exploitation of the com mon men and women from those who control the economic forces of the country." In a Lincoln Day address hero Morse also criticized tho action of Sen. White (R-Mainc), minority leader, "who defend ed the filibuster technique and argued against the exercise of cloture protection" during the recent controversy over the fair employment practices bill. ' Morse said representative government "has the primary obligation of doing those things for all of its people which they best cannot do for themselves," and added: "That includes the obligation of government to prevent the exploitation of the common men and women of this country Gundersen Death Said Accidental TULELAKE, Feb. 12 A cor- oner's Jury hero yesterday re turned a verdict that Clyde A. Gundersen, border patrolman, died last Thursduy night of a gunshot wound Inflicted acci dentally by himself. Witnesses told the story of Cundcrscn's shooting himself while sitting in a car with three other people, similar to that re ported immediately after the tragedy. The Jury verdict agreed with the witnesses' theory that when the border patrolman pointed a gun at his head and clicked tne trigger, ne was jok ing and did not know a loaded shell was in firing position. The inquest was based on the assumption that Gundersen died In Siskiyou county, before Pa trolman Vcrn Lagar, who was with him at the time of the shooting, brought his body across tne stale line on the way to Klamath Falls for medical atten tion. The Jury held that death occurred in Siskiyou county, al though Dr. George H. Adler, Klamath county coroner who conducted an autopsy, said he Doiievca (junacrsen died in Ore gon. Members of the Jury were E, L. Booth, Herman woschler, A E. Rodenberger, Ranee Stover, Ray Lane, Don Webster and Er nest Wine. The Inquest was con ducted by Coroner A. C.
