Sustained-Yield Lumber Cutting May Be Held Up By Demand For Housing PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 25 (IP) Dean Johnson, president of the West Coast Lumbermen's asso ciation, suggested today that the tremendous demand for housing might postpone establishment of eusiainea-yieia lumrjer cutting. Speaking before his associa tions 35th annual meeting, the Portland lumberman predicted this Year's Droduclion granted sufficient manpower might far surpass the rate a year ago. Johnson told the opening ses sion that present demands for Bond Issue Strikes Snag COOS BAY, Jan. 25 (JP) Organization of the Coos Bay Water District, approved at an election authorizing a $675,000 bond issue, has struck a legal snag. Ben R. Chandler, chairman of The Water District commission, reported a suit testing the dis trict's legality soon would be filed in circuit court. The deci sion will be appealed to the state supreme court, he said. The suit followed refusal of a Portland bond attorney, John B. Shuler, to approve the bond is sue for purchase of the Peoples Water & Gas company system. Shuler said Coos Bay and North Bend could not legally control the same population area, as the district proposes. Tillamook Burn To Be Reseeded SALEM, Jan. 25 (IP) The State Forestry Board gave final approval today to a 10-year plan to reseed the 200,000-acre Tilla mook burn, which has been swept by fire three times since 1933. The new forest will be planted by airplane.
