Annual Parties For New Year's Eve ! Dancing will start at 10 o'clock and there will be a buf fet supper which will be served starting at 11 o'clock. , Mr. and Mrs. Rawlins are "having a cocktail party for their committee members in the pine paneled room before the party. The Chicagoans are providing dance music for this annual Elks affair. The committee making ar rangements for the Reames club party includes Mr. and Mrs. Ted i Reeves, chairmen, Mr. and Mrs. ' John West, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hitchcock, Mr. and Mrs. Ray l Lamb and Mr. and Mrs. Elton j. He enlisted in the , navy in 1940 and saw action for five years in the Pacific. Richard has just been discharged after several years with the armed forces serving in military railroad service in -Africa and Italy. He is now with the South ern Pacific. Mrs. Brown is the former Gladys Park, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Park, Klam ath Falls residents now living in San Mateo, California. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peyton are entertaining with a holiday party Sunday from 2 to 7 o'clock at their home, 820 Pacific Ter race. They have invited guests in for Tom and Jerries and as sisting will be Mrs. Estil Wirtz. Game Party The Ellingson family enter tained last evening at their home, 1425 Pacific Terrace, with a game party and buffet supper at midnight for a group of friends, many of whom are here for the holiday season. The game room was gay with greens and holiday tinsel and supper was served from a long table lighted with candles. Van Vactor are entertaining for a group of friends at the Pelican party room New Year's Eve from 8 to 10 o'clock. The affair is also arranged so that old friends may greet Lt. Col. and Mrs. Harlan P. Bos worth Jr., who are coming over from Medford to spend the New Year holidays. Col. Bosworth returned from the European theater of operations and greeted his family which has been in Medford for the past two years. While here they will be at the Willard. Assisting will be Dr. and Mrs. F. Cecil Adams, Dr. and Mrs. Boyd F. Sprague and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Serruys. Later many of the guests plan to go dancing. s Holiday Hostess Mary Lou Sexton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank X. Sexton, was hostess to a group of friends at a Christmas party given at her home, 235 S. Riverside, Sun day, December 23. Entertainment was provided by games and a gift exchange, after which refreshments were served. : -v ' Among those present were La Verne Reed, Shirley Sexton, Mariann Sexton, Carol Reed, and five girls who are home from college for the holidays, Helen Wong, State College in San Francisco, Madelon Adler, Eleanor Thomas, Shirley Ma son and the hostess, Mary Lou, home from Eugene. s Annual Party The annual Christmas party of the St. Paul's Woman's auxiliary was held at the home of Mrs. R. H. Radcliffe, 1420 Pacific Ter race, Thursday, December 20. Mrs. R. H. Reeves was co-hostess. Mrs. Vernon Kuykendall sang "Silent Night" and "The Birth day of the King." After an exchange of gifts among the members refresh ments were served. 8 5 Mr. and Mrs. Rod Darnell of Juneau, Alaska, formerly of Klamath Falls, are expected here some time during the holidays. They arrived in Seattle this week having flown from Juneau and are driving to northern California to visit before return ing here. 5 5 Mr. and Mrs. George C. Bur ger are among the Klamath folks who will have open house New Year's eve. They have invited 25 guests to their home, 85 High, from 8 to 12 o'clock. Mrs. Bur ger will be assisted by Mrs. Brady Narey and Mrs. Stanley Narey, v Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Barrie, son-in-law and daughter of the F. H. Richard Igl and sent from Japan where he Is now on duty as provost marshal, Uni ted States army, at Kokura about 400 miles south of Tokyo. Mrs. Glenn Kent and her daughter, Joy, were hostesses this Saturday afternoon to a group of young friends and their mothers at a holiday tea given at the Kent residence, 737 Pacific Terrace. Tea hours were from 3 to 5 o'clock. Christmas decorations provided the motif for the affair, with holly decking the mantel and the tea table centered with tall red candles and red carnations. Wesley was discharged In February of this year after serving in the United States navy and then re turned to school. Marriage Vows Exchanged Friday TULELAKE In an Informal ceremony In St. Paul's Epis copal church, Klamath Falls, at 4:30 o'clock on December 21st, Dorothy Loyal Kissam, Pelham Manor, New York, became the bride of Lt.-Col. Barton S. Pulling, U. S, army air corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Ess Pulling, Los Vegas, Nevada. The doublo ring ceremony was read by Rev. F. C. Wlssonbach. The bride chose for her wedding a brown gabardine suit with matching hat and veil and other accessories. Her corsage wan of vellow rose buds. - Her only attendant, Miss Ruby Schultz, Tulclake wore an all white frock with a corsage of whlte'carnations. Albert Pulling was bast man for his son, The bride was given in marriage by Bernard C. Schultz, Tulclake. The marriage was the culmin ation of a romance which began in Italy while both Lt. Comdr. Pulling and his bride were in the service. Tho new Mrs. Pull ing, formerly a model for B. Altman and company, New York, served with the Wac as a sergeant, for 27 months, first in Africa and later in Italy. The commander saw 38 months serv ice in Africa, Italy, Sicily, Eng land and France. He reports back to Dayton, Ohio, January 4 for further orders, The wedding date was also the 29th anniversary of the mar riage of tho groom's parents, well known here. Mr. Pulling associated with the fish and wild life service has spent sev eral months here each year since 1942 at biological headquarters. Present for the coromony were tho groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pulling. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard C. Schultz and daugh ter Ruby, and Mr. and Mrs, Don Fisher, Tulelake. A reception attended by B0 guests followed the ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Schultz on the west side of the lake. The traditonal white tier- . ed wedding cake was cut by the newlyweds. The refreshment table -and other appointments about the rooms carried out the Christmas holiday theme.
