Eviction Cases Increase Here Eviction cases filed with the area rent office have doubled in number during tho past two months, according to Marvin D. Illxon, area rent representative. which includes those cases of sale of property and occupancy by new owner. All notices of eviction must be cleared by the rent office before action to evict can commence, illxon slated, and the notices must state legal grounds beforo such clearance can be given. Muriun Hayden was the freshman added to the commit tee which already consists of Fred Reeves, Glen Lorenz and Betty Crawford It was also explained to the student council members that the constitution reads that there shall be an assembly before every important game and not as It Is erroneously thought De fore every game. It is up to the assembly committee and me per sons involved directly to decide which ot the games warrant semblies preceding them. How ever, most of the district games will be considered as meriting un assembly. Mosl of the freshmen feel that there are not enough dunces. Thoy want more activ ity of this sort at noons, after school and after the basketball games. It is not up to the stu dent council to decide on the dunces us these are usually put on by various clubs. There will be a dance next Friday as "Christmas present" to the kids by the social committee. Job's Installation Dance The Job's Daughters are hold ing a semi-formal dance the night of December 20. The dance will be given after the installa tion of the officers of the group Baldy's band will play for the occasion. The dance is not open to the school, but each Job's Daughter may ask another couple besides her date. If any girls would like to go, they should see a member. Tho dance will be given In honor of Sally Mueller, who will be the next honored queen. Cnristmas seals Instead of selling Christmas seals at the schools this year, the Klamath County Public Health association asked the students to pledge 10 cents or more for seals for the preven tion of tuberculosis. The faculty felt that this name was too much like a fra ternity or sorority name and would prefer that the clubs not be called by Greek names. The Service club plans to In vite different lodges to the bas ketball games as the guests of the club. Members of a certain lodge will be invited to attend a game and bring their wives. The club is also placing pictures of the basketball team in va rious windows downtown to help stimulate Interest in bas ketball. And Incidentally Don Stroud. Bruce Spaulding, Salem at torney and former Polk county district attorney, is believed to be the committee's choice to op pose Walter Norblad, -Astoria, chosen last week as the repub lican candidate. Spaulding twice has been al most elected state attorney gen eral, having come close to beat ing Attorney ueneral ueorge Neuner at the last election.
