library Club jflans Program The Klamath Falls Woman's Library club has arranged a ijWcial Christmas program, to be held Monday at 2 p. m. in the city library auditorium. Mrs. Don Zumwalt, music chairman, will present the high tichool a cappclla choir, under the direction of Andrew Loney Jr., in special music. J Lt. Comdr. Graham Gilmer, post chaplain, Marine Barracks, i will speak on "Christmas, at JBea." j Members are reminded of the collection of toys for the chil dren in the Doernbecher hos Jpital at Portland. Dolls, doll clothing and soft cuddly toys lire particularly appropriate for J these children as they are all ,bed patients. All pins and sharp objects should be removed. Mrs. E. H. Balsiger and Mrs. 'Karl G. Cummings are host- esses, decorations will be ar ranged by Mrs. Loren Palmer ton. Lt. Leon Messenger of the J naval air station, who was to J speak at the meeting January 14, will be unable to appear and Wallace S. Baldinger, as sociate professor of History of Art, University of Oregon, will i talk on "A Home to Live In." and will also present slides to illustrate his talk. The Garden club is having its annual vacation and will not meet again until February. In an early afternoon cere mony read in the Baptist church of Reno, Nev., on Saturday, De cember 1, Janice McGifford of Klamath Falls and formerly of New Jersey, became the bride of E. R. Long, also of Klamath Falls. Maid of honor was Helen Un derwood and best man was E. C. Brandeberry, both of this city. The young couple returned to Klamath Falls Sunday eve ning. They will make their home at 1545 Eldorado. Helping Hand MALIN The Helping Hand society met at the home of Mrs Lester Schreincr on November 28. They made plans to enter tain their families witn a Christ mas party December 19. Mrs. George Smallcy is chairman of food, Mrs. Louts Drager and Mrs. Earl McVcy are on the dec orating committee and Mrs. Mai bert Wilson. entertainment There will be a Christmas tree with gifts for the families and the Polly Annes. Plans were also made to serve lunch at the dances on Decem ber 8, and December 25, at the Broadway hall in Malin. A bazaar and carnival is be ing planned for sometime in April. As an aid to tho reg istrar in hunting lineage it was decided to add to the genealog ical library, now owned by thu chapter. A fund of $25 was set aside for this purpose. Contributions were made to the Angel Island fund and "Keep Oregon Green" association. A collection of beads 'bap been made for use in occupational therapy at the Indinn'weterans hospitul, Tacoma, Washington. Mrs. Robert Odell presented the. program on Klamath Indian myths which she has prepared for Eulalona chapter to broad cast over KOAC in February. She recounted the many ways in which the stories have been passed from one generation to another by word-of-mouth. Mrs. Norman Fralcy sang "O Holy Night" by Adams, accom panied by Mrs. Hugh Mltchel more. This was followed by carol singing by the group under the direction of Mrs. Bert C. Thomas.
