Canvass Will Start On Monday Klamath Falls women will knock on doors in a house-to- house canvass starting Monday morning in an effort to complete the Klamath county community ; chest fund drive. Those who have not been contacted will be sometime during the week, and If you have not made a contri button, please be ready to do so, No matter how small, each con trlbution will be a welcome one. One evening this past week a erouD met with W. E. Lamm, , fund chairman; Elton Thomp son and Robert Lamott, assistant chairmen and Mrs. Hose M Poole, chairman of the women's division. Present at this meeting, held at the chamber of commerce rooms, were Mrs. Poole, Mrs. Leigh M. Ackerman, Mrs. E. M. Igl, Mrs. Twyla Ferguson, Mrs. Stephen Sabo, Mrs. Coleman O'Lougmin, Mrs. jacK jviurpny, Mrs. Gertrude Moore, Mrs. E, Laton Stephens, Mrs. Harry BriKBs. Mrs, Marvin Shepherd, Mrs. Leo N. Huls, Mrs. George Hum, and the three men. Along with this representa tive group, will work the follow ing starting next Monday: Mrs. Lane Warren, Mrs. Don Druliner, Mrs. Mike Mosby, Mrs. William Beck, Mrs. Dora God dord, Mrs. A. C. Backes, Mrs. Phil Brixner, Mrs. Norma Mil ler, Mrs. Carl Schubert, Mrs. S. R. Brown, Mrs. C. C. Morris, Mrs. Ellis Matthews, Mrs. Robert A. Thompson, Mrs. Milt bessler, Mrs. Norma Henson, Mrs. George A. Myers, Mrs. Percy Murray, Mrs. R. A. LaLonde, Mrs. W. Martin, Mrs. Jack Linman, Mrs. W. S. Metier, Mrs. Ray Overson, Mrs. John Kerns, and Elenora Weatherford. The community fund, for some reason, did not reach its quota by a long way. The local or ganizations which benefit from this fund such as' Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Girls, Salvation Army and so forth, must have movey to operate dur ing the coming year. There are other agencies, too, which pro fit and are well .worth while. Your cooperation is urged. 5 Wedding Rites Antonio T. Polis and Ruth E. Heinberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Edwards of Ma tin, were married in a simple ceremony read by the Rev. Cecil C. Brown of the First Baptist church at the parsonage, 827 El dorado, at 4:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, December 6. The double ring ceremony was used. The bride wore a black afterpoon dress with white, se- Suin trim and a corsage of gar enias and rosebuds. Her at tendant, Mrs. Rose M. Spolek, wore black and a pink carnation corsage. Mr. Edwards attended the groom. Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Louis Kalina were also present at the ceremony. nnnscs li 13 it if il II II . Lucille Winkler was the honor guest at a farewell party given Tuesday, December 4. by the Silver Moon Blue Bird group of Mills school. She left December 6 with her mother and younger sister for St. Louis, Missouri, where they will reside. Following games and singing, Lucille was presented with a gift from the group. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Edamae Adamson, leader, and Hazel Craig, assistant leader. Choyne and the lato Mr. Cheyno, In n ceremony road at tho First Pres byterian church Sunday afternoon, December 2, at 3 p, in. Tho Rev. David F. Burnett read the double ring ceremony, Vows were exchanged before an altar arrangement of pulius and white chrysanthemums and many tall lighted white candles. The bride was given In mnr- rlago by her father. She wore a pearl gray silk afternoon frock with ' bracolct length sleeves, sheered torso bodice and V-neck line. A pink feather halo hat completed her costume and she carried a white Bible with a single white orchid tied with white satin streamers. Mrs. Eldon Clark was the bride's only attendant. She wore an aqua blue afternoon dress and matching hut and carried a bouquet of carnations. The best man was the groom's brother, Charles Cheyne. Following the wedding a small reception was held in tho church with the couple cutting tneir wedding caKe which wns later served by Mrs. Hicks, mother of the bride. Mr. ond Mrs. Cheyne left shortly after the reception for California where they are spending their Honeymoon. Tney will be at home at the Cheyne ranch in the Spring Lake district. Attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Hicks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Drew, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Clark, Mrs. Alex B. Cheyne, Robert Hicks, Delia Cunningham, Virginia Cunning hnm, Robert Herrlngshow and Charles Choyne. Pfast Matrons Mrs. E. H.
