Recently he had been re ported active in revision of the constitution and had asserted he was doing the work at the request of MacArthur although MacArthur denied this. - He is a member of the Japan ese royal family. Kido, who held the recently abolished post of keeper of the privy seal, was Emperor Hiro hito's closest adviser and had helped elevate to office such premiers as Tojo. Konoye had as his war minis ter Hideki Tojo, who now is held as the number one war criminal suspect. Konoye's third cabinet was succeeded by one headed by Tojo. The arrest order reached into the propaganda field with orders for the amrehension of Admir als Godo and Ogata. Godo's spe cialty before and during the war was propaganda. Socio Securiiy Benefits To Survivors Explained To clear up a general mis understanding of social security survivors' benefits, Howard J. Nelson, manager of the Klamath Falls social security field office, pointed out today that the fam ilies of workers are eligible for benefits payable upon death of the worker, no mutter at what age the death comes. The wife and children of a living wage earner cannot get benefits until the worker is 65 or over and quits work, but they can get survivor's benefits when the wage earner dies any time, provided he is insured at the time of death. There may be monthly pay ments, Nelson said, or just a lump sum, depending on the family, but almost always there is some money due an insured worker's family. If the worker leaves no one Immediately eligible for month ly benefits, a lump sum death payment is claimable within two years. This sum goes to the widow, widower, . child, grandchild or parent, in the or der named. If the worker is not survived by any such relative the pay ment may be made to other rela tlves or friends as reimburse ment for funeral expenses.
