School Bus Lifted From Lake Bottom CHELAN, Wash., Dec. 3 (IP) Grief-stricken parents of nine children whose bodies still lie in snow-rimmed Lake Chelan, victims of a school bus disaster which last week claimed a total of 16 lives, today agreed that further dragging and diving op erations be abandoned. Meanwhile this saddened com munity made preparations for funeral and memorial services for the dead. Mass funeral services will be conducted for the children from the Chelan Masonic temple at i p. m. Wednesday, services for the bus driver, Royal Jack Randle, 26, will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday, with the Rev. H. B. Vincent officiating, There will be a mass memor ial at the scene of the disaster on the edge of Lake Chelan following Wednesday's services. Lt. Hundreds of spectators lined the lake as the bus, which con tained the bodies of Randle and four children, was lifted by crane to the Lake Chelan dock. Motor Mechanic William Miller of the Coulee dam bureau of reclamation was in charge of removing the coach. Bodies taken from the ve hicle, in addition to Randle's, were identified as those of Larry Miller, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller; Carl Dam, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dam; Barbara Asklund, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Asklund; Ruth Hawley, 0, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hawley.
