! 1 I Road Traffic Nearly Normal SALEM, Nov. 30 High way traffic over the state was nearly normal today, the state highway commission said. The commission reported packed snow and ice on the Wa pinitia, Santiam. Willamette and The Dalles-California mountain passes advising that chains be used. The weather was clear in the passes today and no rain or snow was reported in the state. The Wllsonville ferry and In dependence - Granger highway were still closed by high water today, but the flood threat had disappeared. The Columbia river-Old Ore gon Trail highway, which had been reported hazardous the past few days, was clear today of snow, ice and frost.
