Right now there are a few pure silk chiffons in the shop. ... i Muriel has had a shipment of rather unusual Corde bags that she showed me . . . small in size ... of black, brown or navy ... these differ in type ; . . and are only $7.20, Includ ing tax. For the first time sine the beginning of the war . . Muriel has received some of the Merle Norman - overnight bags j, . . of leather . . i, completely fitted with cosmetics in a sepa rate compartment . . . which can be removed If desired ... "sweet" Martha had in the Street Market . the Iday ... .; Goodness gracious, what with a Honey plus Butter spread . . . clear from' Michi gan . . . and a fresh, supply of that special maple synip from Vermont . . . to say nothing of the shipment of maple sugar finally arriving . i . it seemed like a good time , to lay in a supply. We've already , tried the spread . . . fresh butter beaten into pure honey , and it is delicious! Good for children, too. The maple sugar . ... if ' there's any left by now . , . came only in pound cakes. ' The market also received a good supply of Uncle John's ' Cane and Maple SUGAR syrup . . . which is-from the same place as the real maple sweet enin' ... is less expensive and should be mightly palatable. PINE STREET MARKET, .corner of Seventh and Pine . . . again has two deliveries daily ... (do I hear cheers?) ... at 10:30 a. m. and 3 p. m. . . and you can phone in your order. The new expansion certainly provides ample display space for the iarge and ever-changing stock of coats, suits and frocks . . . that LaPointe's takes pride in bringing from the high class markets ... to its Klamath patrons. Martha had hardly stepped inside the door this week . before several of the store's personnel invited her to view the new improvement. I did . . . and was impressed first1 by the harmonious arrangement and tasteful decorating . next by the marvelous lighting Large, glass brick windows let in plenty of daylight. Joe Westhusin, who has been in the South Pacific for 31 months, ar rived in Tacoma, Wash., Wednes day, November 23, and will join hisJoster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley . Hull, at Reedsport. Westhusin will be affiliated with the Hulls in the operation of an auto court and grocery store which they purchased last July. Sgt. Westhusin was employed by Weyerhaeuser Timber com pany before entering the service. Hull was also with the company until last July, having, worked for Weyerhaeuser since 1929. Buys Delivery ServiceLynn L. McDanlels has purchased the Robinson Delivery service, which will be known in the fu ture as -the "Merchants Delivery Service." McDaniels, who is at present on terminal leave from the armed forces, plans to add considerable equipment to ex pand the service. Fractures Wrist Betty Bar tron is a patient at Klamath Val. ley hospital where she is being treated for a fractured wrist which she received in a fall at La Pointe's where Miss Bartron has been employed since return ing here. She was injured last Tuesday. - At Hillside Mrs. Lorena Witte, 1864 Derby, is a patient at Hillside hospital where she was moved by ambulance Wed nesday for medical treatment.
