"Pete" Mot achenbacher of Roscburg and grandson of Mrs. E. L. Elliott, 623 Lincoln, was appointed sec ond altornato to the military acadomy at West Point, It was announced this week by Con gressman Harris Ellsworth. Elliott's mother Is the former Nell Elliott of this city and well known here. His father was employed by tho California Orogon Power company In Klamath Falls for a number of years and sorvos as district ac tounlant for that firm In Rose burg. Elliott was born In Klnm th Falls and attonded Mills ichool for the first five grades. Much of the lumber used In the present building wns milled In the Turner mill, operated on Mt. Stuknl. The first manse was put tin In 1000 and several years ago the present home for the pastor was completed. l(. n.
