Walter Wiesendanger, who became Mrs. Arthur Tricbwasser in a ceremony Klamath Girl Army Man's Bride . .V,.':.- ' ' i' j1- ; One of the loveliest of fall weddings was that of Sunday after noon at 4 o'clock when Jean Wlcscndungcr, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiesendanger of this city, became the bride of SSgt. Arthur Tricbwasser, United Suites army. Vows were ex changed In the First Prcsbytcrinn church with the Rev. David F. Barnctt Jr., reading the service. White chrysanthemums were banked at the rolling and the tall whllo candles were lighted by Bertie Leo Farnham of Port land and Dprothca Elllngson. Both wore white frocks fash ioned with full, floor length skirts and snug bodices. Miss Farnham la a sorority sister of the bride. Just before the bridal party entered tho church, Mrs. John Best ployed incidental music. Sho also played tho traditional wedding marches. Patricia Brown sung, "I Lovo Thee," and "Still as the Night," accompan ied by Mrs. Best. Tho bride, given In marriage by her father, walked down the aisle In a beautiful ivory satin gown designed with finger tip sleeves pointed at the wrist, sweetheart neckline on the long torso bodlco and full train. The bride's veil was of full length Illusion net edged with a wide band of lace and falling from a simple cap, and she wore a single strand of pearls. Her flowers were orchids and bou vardia. Phyllis Taw of Portland was the'mald-of-honor and wore an aqua blue silk taffeta gown with square neckline, three quarter length alcoves and a little bustle. Sho wore a wreath of pink carnations in her hair. Tho bridesmaids were Vir ginia Ellen Smith and Patty Schupp and both wore rose taf feta frocks with wreaths of white carnations in their hair. read at the r-irst Presoytenan The three attendants carried bouquets of autumn flowers. Robert P. Elllngson Jr., was best man. ' Ushers were Albert Minclll and Sgt. Paul Scufcrt. Following the ceremony the wedding party greeted guests at a reception in the Pelican party room. The young couple cut their cake which was a tiered confection of all white on a base of red roses and fern. Mrs. E. G, Sparkman served, and pre siding at the coffee urn during the afternoon were Mrs. Robert P. Elllngson Sr., Mrs. Robert P. Elllngson Jr., Mrs. Warren C. Hunt and Orplia Hudson. Punch was dispensed by Mrs. John E. Ashbaugh of Portland, Charlotte Wales, June Michel son and Betty Merrill. Mrs. Wiesendanger, mother of tho bride, wore a frock of win ter wheat with a turquoise skirt and a black feather hot. A sin gle orchid was pinned at the shoulder. The new Mrs. Tricbwasser wore a black suit with dolman sleeves for her' traveling cos tume which was completed with white accessories and a small matching hat. An orchid from her bouquet was worn at the shoulder. The couple spent their honeymoon at Curmel. The groom reports to Fort Ord, California for further orders. Dancing Club Plans ore now complete for the Winter Dancing club sea son and dates for the four parties, which will be held at Ueames Golf and Country club, were announced this week. The first party for club mem bers will be held Saturday eve ning, November 17, and hosts for the affair will be Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Elllngson Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Roy Whitlatch and Mr. and Mrs. Lane Warren. Other dates set by the club members are as follows: Saturday, January 12. Saturday, February 23. Saturday, March 23. Ing her school work has been at home here and also in Port land. She Is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority, Sgt. Triebwas ser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Tricbwasser of Oakland, Cali fornia, has recently returned from duty in tne European thea ter. He served with the 70th division of Patton's 3rd army. The couple met on the Oregon State campus where Sgt. Trieb wasser wus an ASTU student during his bride's junior year. He is a former University of California student and plans to resume his studies when he is discharged from the service. Among the out-of-town guests here for the wedding was the bride's maternal grandmother, Mrs. E. E. Scavenger Hunt Laura Coles was hostess at a Halloween party for members of the younger group when she entertained Wednesday evening at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. -Coles, 1422 Crescent, with a scavenger hunt and late supper. The house was decorated with traditional Halloween figures. Guests included Connie Hunt, Patsy Hull, Carol Monteith, Lois Hibbert, Bobbie Nell Coulter, Sally Mueller, Marilyn O'Neill, Joan O'Neill; Trudy Bennet, Betty Crawford, Bob Eastman, Harold Wirth, Virgil Gillette, Calvin Atkisson. Football Supper Mrs. Zeno Dent and Kay Mal loy entertained at the Dent home on Washington street before the Klamath-Eugene game Friday evening when cocktails were served to a group of friends who returned after the game for supper. Gentry, U. S. army. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Gentry of Tulelake. The 7:30 o'clock ceremony was read by the Rev. Father James O'Connor In St. Augustine's church here before a large number of relatives and friends of the young couple. The single ring ceremony was used. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Edgar Osborne of Tulelake sang Ave Maria" and Cadmans "Because" with Mrs. E. Webb Staunton of Tulelake at the piano. The bride entered on the arm of her father. Her gown, fash ioned with tight bodice of satin had a bouffant skirt of illusion net with full train. Her lace edged illusion veil was caught about her head with orange blossoms and she carried an arm bouquet of red roses. Mrs. Don Workman, Klamath Falls, was matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Betty Ditto, Junction City, Oregon; Mary Corrigan of Klamath t ans and Joan wnitson, port land. All wore similar dresses in pale pink and blue with matching net arrangements in their hair. They carried white carnations. Herman Turnbaugh, Tulelake, was best man and the ushers were Donald Ratliff, Malin, and French E. Johnson Jr., Tule lake. The altar was banked by ar rangements of pink and white chrysanthemums and tnese were used about the big room in the Oddfellows hall where the re ception was held. The bride and groom cut their tiered white wedding cake and members of the wedding party poured. The table was lace covered. Mr. received before a background' of pink and white streamers and silver wedding bells. - For traveling Mrs. Gentry wore a dove grey and cerise ensemble with grey squirrel coat. They left for points north and - will be at home at Cor vallis where the groom will re port November 1. ' ' For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Liskey wore a deep red frock with halo hat in black. Mrs. Gentry wore a black frock with sequin trim and small black hat. Then- corsages were white carnations. Mrs. Gentry attended the Uni versity of Oregon and was af filiated with Sigma Kappa sor ority. The groom was an Ore gon State man, a member of Theta Chi fraternity and saw extensive service during most of the war in the Pacific. ' Circus Held The senior group of Girls Friendly of St. Paul s Episcopal church turned the basement of the parish house into a circus for the younger set of the town this afternoon, Saturday, Gala decorations were used in the big room and hot dogs and pop, other festive eatments and candy, were sold for the benefit of the treasury. Offi icers N amed Mrs. Martin Swanson was re elected president of the women , of Rcames Golf and Country club at the annual luncheon and naming of officers for tho 1946 46 season held Friday afternoon. at the clubhouse. Mrs. John Shaw was named vice president of the group and Mrs. Robert Sproat, secretary treasurer. Retiring vice presi dent Is Mrs. L. D. Stephens and retiring secretary-treasurer is Mrs. Herbert Haugcr. Mrs. Swanson was presented with a gift for her work during tne . past year by tno club through Mrs. George Merryman. A group enjoyed the perfect late fall weather and played golf in the morning although tourna ment play is over. i.uncn.con was served at pret tily appointed tables which hold bowls of fall flowers and Ivy, Members of the officer group and committee heads served to more than 40 members and guests including Mrs. C. C. Kel ly, visiting here from Redding, and Mrs. Leslie Avrit. For those whose birthdays fall on months when the season is closed, a beautifully decorated birthday cake was cut during the dessert course. Six tables of bridge followed luncheon. Dinner Guests Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Morgan of Hollywood and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Long were dinner guests oi Mr. and Mrs. Matt Flnnigan Halloween night at their home on Washington street. Mr. Mor gan assisted in dispensing "trick or treat" to the neighborhood children who called during the rvenlng. Major and Mrs. Ed Hamm and Mrs. Howard Barnhisel were cocktail guests at the Fin nigan home. The Hamms were here this past week visiting friends. The Morgans left Friday for the Oscar Kittredge ranch at Adel, Lake county, where they will hunt for a short time. Brownies A group of little Brownies of Roosevelt school put on costumes and celebrated Halloween after school Wednesday at the Troy Cook home on Eldorado. Members of the troop commit tee, Mrs. Troy Cook, Mrs. Ernest Taylor and Mrs. J. A. Burke, planned the affair. Leader is Mrs. David Snyder and assistant leader is Mrs. George Clark., Dressing up for the affair were Sally Sue Burke, Nancy Clark, Paul Cook, Nancy Newell, Shar on Hahn, Sharon Taylor, Bar bara Ann Bellan, Carol Ann Taylor, Carole Biehn and Shirley Dean. , .. ;,, Theatre Party Friends of June Earhart, who is home for a fortnight from the University of Washington, hon ored her at a theatre party Fri day, October 26. June is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Sam uel D. Earhart of this city. Following the theatre, the group was invited to the home of Jeannine Selby, 850 Eldorado, for refreshments and a slumber party. Lt. Martha Moore Veatch, wife of Capt. Robert Veatch of the U. S. army air corps now serving in Europe, left Saturday for Portland where she will take a plane for Chicago. Lt. Veatch, U. S. army nurse, has been visiting here with her hus band's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Veatch, who accompan ied her to Portland. r The Klamath Falls Garden club meeting has been post poned until Monday, November 19, at 2 p. m. in the small library club rooms. Members are asked to note change in date. 5 Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Lundy left Thursday by motor for Los Angeles where ' they will re main until December 1. While south they will be guests of their daughter's family, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ruggles.
